This isn't even remotely true. It was the Secret Service, not the Nra that banned guns during a March 2018 convention.
Did the NRA Ban Guns at Their Own Leadership Forum?
That Lt Governor is a real piece of work (among another word that comes to mind). HIM calling Beto an embarrassment....this isn't about POLITICS!?!?! REALLY???? Your damn straight it's about politics. It's about YOUR politics that says someone who just turned 18 can go in and buy an assault rifle or two because he doesn't have an ADULT criminal record. HE JUST TURNED 18 YOU DUMB FING MORON!! What was he supposed to do? Rob a liquor store on his birthday at 12:01AM and get arrested so he couldn't buy a gun??? You and the rest of the politicians who pass these laws and refuse to pass others are complicit.Loved seeing Beto interrupt Abbot’s press conference and call him out
Yeah. And, the bar should be pretty high. There should be a comprehensive check BEFORE people can purchase a gun and there is NO reason civilians need an assault rifle or body armor. People aren't allowed to drive cars without testing and licensing, but an 18 year old can walk into a store and walk out with assault rifles and ammo. All of these gunmen posted crazy **** to their social media. Maybe a good starting point would be that no guns will be sold to anyone before regulators take a long hard look at these accounts. Should be the absolute baseline.
He definitely channeled his inner Stone Cold Steve Austin in that moment. They should have had the sound of shattering glass over the PA system as he walked in before he launched into them.Loved seeing Beto interrupt Abbot’s press conference and call him out
Love Alisyn Camerota. She jumped ship from Fox to CNN a long time ago and she is unrelenting.

"Go in there! Go in there!" nearby women shouted at the officers soon after the attack began, said Juan Carranza, 24, who saw the scene from outside his house, across the street from Robb Elementary School in the town of Uvalde. Carranza said the officers did not go in.
Javier Cazares, whose fourth grade daughter, Jacklyn Cazares, was killed in the attack, said he raced to the school when he heard about the shooting, arriving while police were still massed outside the building.
Upset that police were not moving in, he raised the idea of charging into the school with several other bystanders.
"Let's just rush in because the cops aren't doing anything like they are supposed to," he said. "More could have been done."
"They were unprepared," he added.
I think Beto has some momentum in his direction. Him calling out that POS excuse of a governor was from the heart as a scared, angry and ticked off TX parent.
Texas Dems need to channel that energy into November. Hit Abbott with everything they got and get folks to the polls.
