Discussion of Anarchism

I would suggest living in an area before making blanket generalizations about it's people.
Dude, again you're blowing a post of mine up into something it's not.
Please note that I said "certain areas" and "local majority".

And the reason I said that was specifically because i watched an amazing documentary on PBS about just such a neighborhood which was basically a small unincorporated town comprised of KKK members, and it chronicled all of the "unsolved" murders of Black people who had passed through or tried to live there, and interviewed the Sheriff who basically said of the murders, "Well, what did they expect?"

I'm not doing a "Southern people are bigots" thing, especially since there are so many southern Black people, doi.

oh wait. i mean CERTAIN Led Zeppelin fans are....ahhhh, nevermind.

Anarchy is absence of government. That is all.
It is not absence of order or law.

It's funny how people have so much faith in government given its 'record of performance' throughout human history.

Superhobo, I'm having some trouble figuring out what kind of anarchist you are. I'm an anarcho-capitalist of the Austrian economics school of thought.

This thread could've been interesting if people were a little more open minded and informed. :)

I've forgotten the name. Hold on, lemme me find it.

EDIT: I am an Anarcho-collectivist, from the old school of thought of Mikhail Bakhunin. I also have strong Insurrectionary ideals, but I know that, farther than a 'black block' in the neighbour hood, those wouldn't get far, as, well...

he blew it out of proportion asmuch as you blew my comment out of proportion. seemed fair to me.

You missed the point of what I said, congrats:up:

Racism did not come FROM THE PEOPLE IT CAME FROM THE ELITES. IF YOU TOOK AWAY THE PEOPLE IN POWER WHO WERE IN CONTROL OF THE LAWS WHICH DISENFRACHISE BLACK PEOPLE YOU'D HAVE NO RACISM AGAINST BLACK PEOPLE.

Sounds to me like in the town you described, the KKK were running it, wow there might be something to that.

So no it's not doi, it's look it up before you post it.

Holy ****.

i just realized how trippy my post will read if, someday inthe far flung future, i'm on acid or something and i come across it and i can't make the mental leap to realize that "hades" is just the name of some guy who posts on the Hype and instead i think its like, the mythical God Hades, and he's "at it again", except his "at it again" no longer (makes sense) in the far flung future, because death doesnt exist. (because rock and roll killed it.)

You know how you could have shortened this post?

There. That basically summarises everything you just said pretty good.

goddamnit. i can't steal your avatar because i left the hype for 6 months and now i'm smaller than all you losers.

it wouldn't have entertained me so much in the shortened version.

 don't go Cuckoo, man.
I just looked back at your post.

It said "Southerner does not = Racist" and "There are only thousands of members of the KKK" and "I live in the south and I've never met a person who would shoot a Black person."

And I'm saying, yeah, no s***. I'm not talking about the social climate/politics of the Nation. I got to this because Danalys had no prob with my hypothetical guy who'll shoot you for playing music loud at night.

That was culled from own experiences in my neighborhood. So I brought up this town, that exists, in "a certain area of the South" where instead of being murdered for blasting AC/DC at night, you'd be more likely to be murdered for your race...to see if he'd be as flippant about THAT murder.

The "elite" and "Jim Crow" has nothing to do with what I'm talking about.
I'm saying, just because you're a decent person who'd never want to harm anyone doesn't mean that everyone's as peace-loving as you and that anarchy would be Hunky Dory.

Jeez, you're almost as defensive about the South as Deathlok is about Crossdressing. :(

yeah you can. see me with less posts but avatar as wide as any other.

And for the record, it's a fact, there are "CERTAIN AREAS" of L.A. where I probably would not make it out alive because I'm white and ignorant of gang customs. Doesn't mean I'm saying "Los Angeles is Anti-White".
Pfff

i'm flippant about death that is the result of not avoiding death, meh. it's not like people aren't all slowely killing themselves or others anyway.

Perhaps you need to read this again. Without law, in anarchy, in the South. You would NOT have people shooting others on the basis of race, since racism is a creation of whoever is in power (i.e. suggesting there is not anarchy)

Racism (specifically Southern racism...which you did bring up) is a series of laws designed to disenfranchise black voters and later protect the oppression of black leaders and civil rights workers. However if you live in a system of anarchy and there is no one telling you what is right or wrong then racism is no longer a factor.

Before Jim Crow was implemented both poor white and poor black were on equal standing economically and socially in the South. It was only when the Government told the people blacks were dangerous that racism became a problem. If you do not have a government influencing you, then you do not come to these crazy notions of racism on your own.

As for those certain areas you are describing the 10% of the South still run by yellow dog Democrats (Dixiecrats). Just as you said the town was run by the KKK, meaning if you took away the Government and made it an anarchy then there would be no KKK to influence the citizens into believing the system of racism.

the klan would be none anarchic pocket in a mostly anarchy, for a while. i can imagine tribalism springing out of anarchy tho. which would then lead to war lords and then democracy. another cycle complete; all because those that lead through intimidation or deception aren't counteracted.

I'm here to start up a serious discussion of Anarchism, for everyone, the Anarchists (like me and some others), to the fascists (like The Lumberjack and some others. All are welcome. Come in and chat about true freedom.

There is no such thing as true freedom.

If you have organized groups then you do not have a true anarchy. If there is a KKK that implies there are laws (at least for the people in question), if there are laws then you don't have anarchy.

I would assume there had to be a state of nature at some point. A world of unorganized human beings. However brief it was, or maybe there wasn't...who knows.

have you ever seen a true anything when it comes to social organisation or disorganisation? people hold onto the past and ruin the future to "save" everyone or themselves from it.
