Disney's Frozen - Part 1

That's what makes it fun. Virtually no one at these things can really sing, so you can all belt it out and sound ridiculous together. It's not something you go to if you're seeing the movie for the first time, it's something to go to if you've seen it before and listen to the soundtrack obsessively.

Think of it as the Rocky Horror Show, Disney-style. :cwink:

.........so does that mean during Love Is An Open Door, when Hans proposes to Anna, someone in the audience will shout "Don't Do It Anna!!"

:woot:

Disney's El Capitan movie theater in LA is showing a singalong version of Mary Poppins right now. I think they've done singalong versions some of their other animated movies there before too.

Now i've got this weird animated Frank N. Furter image in my head. Thanks.

It might! At Sound of Music, they gave everyone props that went along with Do-Re-Mi and some of the other songs. Everyone had to stand during the wedding scene, hiss at the Baroness, and there were all these other prompts too. They encouraged it.

And we all dragged our feet about having to go (even though I love that movie), but we actually all wound up having a really good time.

lol

if I were there, when Elsa lets her hair down, I'd prob yell out "Damn Girl!!"

And then when Anna punches out Hans, I'd yell "Yeah!! Knock that Ba*****d out, Anna!!"

:woot:

I mean........I said all those things silently to myself when I watched the film.......:o :oldrazz:

I just got a news that they will be having a sing-along for Frozen at the El Capitan threatre in February. I'll check out tomorrow to see what the exact date is.

Looks like I'm going to be going on Monday most likely instead. Going to have to skip picking up a blu-ray (Captain Phillips) in order to pay but I preferred Frozen anyway so I don't mind too much.

I still haven't seen this movie and I really need to. :(

Do yourself a favour and do so.

my target restocked its frozen display finally
after seeing the movie twice i had to get them
the likenesses are a little off, but i think they look ok considering they're by mattel :yay:

Yeah, I'm not gonna lie, I bought the MagiClip toys of them. :O

hey at least the doll got Elsa's hair color right........:o

what the heck is a sing along version??

you mean the audience in the theater is actually encouraged to sing along with the songs during the movie??

never heard of that before......

I think they did one for Mamma Mia when it was out in theaters. I never made it to one. Should be interesting.

The sing along version is in fact coming to 1000 screens on January 31st.

Will this be in 3d? I wouldn't mind catching it again if I could see it in 3d, saw it in 2d the first time.

so this it at $338m, I think.

do you think it can still get to $350m or $360m over the next several weeks?

It did 16 million over the 4 days last weekend, and its getting put back onto 1000 screens with the sing along version. It might be able to break 4350m

be great if it could!

also, do you think Disney will do some kind of promotion during the Winter Olympics??

I mean........it's almost begging for synergy.......lol.

After Wednesday's $675,281 Frozen has $338,125,385 domestic and should be about $338.8 going into the weekend.
It's only losing 222 screens this weekend and will still be playing on 2757 screens, so a conservative estimate of $8.2m this weekend should put it around $347m. Even without the sing-along expansion in 2 weeks it was projected to finish with $380-$390m (well past Despicable Me 2's $368m, which will put Frozen as the #1 animated movie and #3 movie overall of 2013), , if the expansion gives it a good boost it could top $400m domestic (falling just short of Iron Man 3's $409m for the #2 spot).

so did you like it??

Loved it! I was actually very tired when I watched it and am going to try to watch it again this weekend when I'm fresh, but even with that I thought it was brilliant! The the story, the setting, the characters, the humour and the music were all excellent and I agree with the high praised that it's the best Disney movie since the Renaissance era.
