Oh no, absolutely. Perspective always comes into what you get out of a film. And by one working better than the other, I meant for me personally. My apologies if it came off as rude.
I'm bored and have nothing to do for the next little while so I'll just explain why I read the film that way. The powers growing stronger at puberty, not wanting people to touch her, hiding away in her bedroom, the constant talk of doors ("Come out the door" in Do You Want to Build a Snowman?, it's in a few lines and in the title of Love is an Open Door and "Turn away and slam the door" in Let It Go) obviously I'm relating to closet door which I feel fits in each of those, "Conceal, don't feel" being a more....Disney way of putting what I and I know others get told, the way the town reacted when her powers revealed, the actions of her parents, etc... bring me to this conclusion. Of course, as you mentioned, perception comes into play. However, I genuinely felt most of it felt too almost obvious to have not been on their mind when making the film. But, once again, to each their own, especially on a Disney film. I've never liked arguing Disney films. If we can agree it's good, which I think we can, it doesn't matter. As long as how you read it makes you happy (NOT that she's the devil XD).
Apologies for that really long and poorly constructed sentence. I've only just woke up.
