Disney's live-action "Mulan"

Looks interesting. I don't really know the animated version.

What are you doing with your life then? :o

Still looks good to me, though I do agree with the comments that the lead looks a bit flat throughout. Hopefully there's more to her performance in context.

Still looks like diet Asian cinema.

Much better trailer IMO, and I definitely got a Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon vibe. Now, I'm actually really starting to look forward to this even though I'm still not quite feeling the lead girl so far. I mean I'd be lined up for it just to see Donnie Yen, Jet Li and Gong Li all in the same film though.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is one of my favorite films. That is a movie, for all its beauty, that is built on the intensity and passion of Zhang and Yeoh. You can see and feel it in their eyes. Just like you could with the original Mulan. This lead has dead eyes, and seems incapable of emoting.

I kinda liked the teaser more than this trailer. I don’t know I’m just not feeling this right now. It looks really pretty and I’m digging the aesthetic but it feels like something’s missing. Might just be the trailer though .

I thought the trailer looked good. I'm still really happy they're taking this in such a different direction instead of just trying to remake the cartoon, songs and all.

Yoson looks hot as anything but maybe not ignore Hong Kong hot enough

I think a Super BowL Spot before the kickoff is a pretty good bet.

I totally just now realized from those character posters that the Hun leader is Jason Scott Lee and the Emperor is Jet Li.

I didn't realize that was Donnie Yen either, and wow I have not been paying attention to this movie.

I haven't really had any interest in any Disney live action productions. This is no different. I'd like that to change, but so far my interest is waning.

Super Bowl!!!!!

This would look really, really good to me, if she didn't look so damn wooden in all the material released so far.

The action scenes look great. Gong Li officially owns my heart, too.

Everything I've seen so far feels like watching trailers for your typical Chinese movie. It's like Disney watched those and tries to mimic the style. It's so obvious they want to have a huge hit in China with it. Remains to see how that will turn out with the Coronavirus outbreak and everything. Can't help wondering though if Disney would have ever consider doing this if China wasn't such a huge market these days.
