Disney's live-action Pinocchio

It feels like they’re just dumping this.

Even for their Disney+ Marvel and Star Wars series, they hype them up with a couple of trailers and posters. This had like 1 teaser a few months back and it’s out in 2 weeks same day as a lot of other things lol

It does feel that way.

Imagine having Tom Hanks star in your Robert Zemeckis directed movie WITH ZERO hype. Disney DGAF lol.

Good thing about Disney+ is that they don’t drop a lot of stuff every week to begin with. It’s not like Netflix where it will get lost in the void. It will be easy to find the movie on the service since there’s only two movies coming out that day anyway.

“Only” two movies that day?

You’d think this would be “the” movie to premiere for at least the entire week lol

Yeah, I'm really surprised there's no full trailer for this. I'm worried.

People don't forgive, people don't forget. :o

Awwww this looks delightful

Wow.
As someone who grew up watching the 1940s Disney version, seeing the trailer brings back so many childhood memories.
The film even has that 1940s sensibility.

The CGI is pretty iffy. Like how I felt with Zemeckis’s The Witches. Most likely the budget wasn’t there like for The Lion King or Jungle Book. Hoping for the best.

Wow, that was surprisingly heartwarming trailer. Very good nostalgia felt to the animated movie. I'll definitely be watching this remake.

I even watch it before Thor Love&Thunder that day

Wow this looks great. Yeah I’ll probably watch this before Thor L&T too

I'm digging what I'm seeing. I like how faithful they are to the original designs of the characters, although the goldfish is a little much for me. :o

Seeing that kind of makes me think that they could have pulled off staying a little closer to the original animated designs for the enchanted objects in the live action Beauty and the Beast.

OMG. He did the superhero landing. IMO this just takes me out of the movie and makes it really modern for me.

What next? Pinocchio drinking Starbucks?

I think Disney has figured out how to extend their copyright forever.

people landed on their feet like this accidentally before there was a MCU for centuries…

That's not going to deter me from watching it but I wasn't expecting it to land with a thud. I was hoping it'd be more of a return to form for Zemeckis after his last couple of disappointments.

I don’t have Disney + anymore so I’ll be skipping this regardless. I’m far more interested in Del Toro’s version.
