DL Hawkins:Dead or Alive?

I'll be surprised if he's still alive.

 

i hope to god DL's still alive. he just seems like too much of an important character to just kill him off, i mean the whole thing with him and niki being set up by linderman and the company.

 

I think DL is dead. Some people just have to be removed from the show or the show is going to be overcrowded.

 

Well they did show Micah and Nikki at his gravestone and they looked very upset.

 

hmm could it be that he's not dead though?

the graveyard scene doesnt mean anything really. Maybe they want ppl to think he's dead and he's off doing stuff...

also, last episode where maury made nikki see him, she thought bob killed him, meaning she thought he was alive to begin with and that bob killed him.

Maury creates nightmares for pp but hasent been shown to alter thoughts per say....ppl react to the nightmares he creates

I was upset when I thought he was dead, but now, I don't want him back. Let's move on.

 

so was i but not that i dont want him back, but i would be upset if he's not.

Although if he does come back, they can pretty much have a carte blanche with him in that they can say the death was faked and he's been off hunting the company, or searching for x y z or working with HRG or whoever...
they do have abit of leeway

Anyway, I think and hope he's dead. Never liked his character much. I think he was a throwaway character to build Nikki's character anyway.

 

I hope he's actually still alive. It really annoyed me, because it made no freaking sense, that the guy who got shot once and is still standing would die, instead of the one that got 4 bullets into his chest and seemed to be barely breathing.

 

Hmm, I'm guessing he is dead. Especially since the writers seemed to hint at a Nathan/Nikki romance last episode.

But I'm also guessing the door may be left open for him to return if the writers ever need a big shock.

True, but there were tension during the Parasite episode. So the relationship met not happen. And to answer the question if DL dies, I think not because how could MAtt be alive after being shot by Sylar about 5 times and still be alive and just one bullet kills DL. That is untrue and besides theres more questions to be answered about the Hawkins/Dawson family tree, like the mother, nana, and the kid that picked on Micah.

 

Except for the fact that its painfully obvious that he didnt die from the gunshot wound. He got shot early november of 2006 and his death on his tombstone said 2007. How would it take two months to die of a gunshot wound?

 

I think DL is probably dead. This season is way too crowded as it is. The last thing it needs is another character running around.

 

could easily be the virus. but im just speculating.

 

Remember this show like many has twist and turns, people surviving thinking they are dead and so on and on. We just have to wait until Monday to find out the truth, and besides wheres his body in the graphic novels, there was no body.

 

I think that this season is just too crowded to include him.

I find the most likely scenario is he will "die"...for now, but they will leave it open for future seasons if they need a big shock.

I think D.L.'s dead. And considering Niki will also most likely join him this season, I don't think he's coming back.

 

Just one bullet? Since when is getting shot once "just one bullet"?

Simone died to two bullets, but no one ever questions how she can be killed by two but Matt survives 4. Should they write the show in the future so that it takes at least 5 bullets to kill someone, since they set a precedent with Matt?

Bullets dont work like that. Where you're shot and what gun was used (in Matt's case, they were thrown) have quite a big role in whether you live. It's not like we have hit points and guns do a certain amount of damage. ("But guys, DL should still have like 75% HP left!!) People can be killed by one shot, or survive 4. It happens. Sure, both happening at the same time is rare, but it can happen.
