Ok, that was a funny bit with the list. At least this Dante won't be boring, that's a concern cleared
The Tomb Raider reboot is still called Tomb Raider. They didn't change that either.
And he's being a dick to demons. What's new? I'd do it too if they wanted to kill whenever they spot me me and called me a ''piece of ****''.
this is supposed to be a prequel right??
so wouldn't it make sense for younger Dante to behave differently than the Dante we're used to?
Didn't play DMC3 special, how far is it better to play as Virgil?I wanted to get a game centered around Virgil.
Its very fun to play as Virgil but his skill list was extremely limited compared to Dante. Im also hoping he returns in the later installments with more diverse moves/weapons.Didn't play DMC3 special, how far is it better to play as Virgil?
That's way more thought than I would have ever given to a DMC game.
Regardless I like DMC3 for what it was, and the actual story works for me.
I should ask you the same thing. That's just what I've been saying to you. For some reason, you think Dante is different from you. People grow and change.
Yet, if they say it is the same character, then it is. The same way that Rachel, in TDK, was the same character, besides her slight change in personality and another actress playing the part.
If it is played in the same continuity, in the same universe, in the same story, and they tell us that their character is the same, then it is. It's their freaking story, they have the final say. Dante could have acted like 60's child for all I care. It's the same Dante until they tell us otherwise.
Have you never seen, for example, people act like hippies nowadays? That's also a thing from past decades. They probably weren't born this way. They changed along the way and decided to act like that.
Also, Vergil was being controlled by Mundus in DMC1, forced at his will. His true personality was only showed in DMC3. There was no sudden change, because that was the first time his character was truly displayed.
I know Im all for Tomb Raider, that game looks awesome. Was saying thats how you reboot a series.
Not liking the new Dante. Seems very off to me compared to the original games. As cheesy as the other games may be They were very fun in spirit. This guy looks and acts like a *****ebag. So far an Unlikeable character trying to be cool.
And I love how you took a week to respond and still couldn't come with a better argument, resorting to irony.I love how your answer to the question boils down to you can't critique the story or the characters. Well done.
And yes, Vergil is controlled, but through his mannerisms his similarity to his brother show through.
http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/08/14/new-dmc-features-virgilCapcom's first-ever Gamescom press conference got off to a good start as Devil May Cry's producer Alex Jones confirmed that Ninja Theory's DmC reboot will prominently feature at least one character from Devil May Cry games past: Vergil, Dante's twin brother.
He looks like a slightly older, blonder (or grey-haired?) Dante, and in this game he's the head of the Order, a sci-fi demon-fighting organisation. They've been estranged since they were children, but Vergil recruits Dante to the cause during the game.
Capcom also showed off a brand new gravity-bending section of gameplay, showing Dante confronting a demon who secretly controls the world news agenda as the world bends and shifts around him. (In DmC, the demons are a pernicious controlling influence a lot of our world media - here, Dante was running through a pastiche of a certain notorious North American television news outlet.)
He was introduced in a new trailer, which we'll have right here for you shortly. We'll also have impressions of DmC from the show floor in the next day or two.
A PC version of DmC is still in development, and will be released after the console versions.
I smell more of a possible co op then what you want out of this.NicE!
I hope we get to fight him at some point.
