By my hammer, I STRIKE
Seriously now, GET OVER IT. I only judged one game where every level is the same, needed I waste time on such B.S? Story sucks, gameplay sucks, how highly it was praised when it's $#%^ sucks, cheap God of War (I like GoW, don't put me down for it) knock offs suck, suck suck SUCK
Game series like Zelda and DmC continuity are messed up, compare DmC with its sequels/prequels to Resident Evil and its sequels/prequels, huge difference
The element of the demo that makes me so enthusiastic for DMC is the hardest thing to put into words: the sheer sense of physical threat that the city projects. Walls don’t just grind together in their quest to paste Dante; they slam toward one another in fits and starts. The cathedral toys with Dante, flinging the floor in front of him suddenly out of reach as he sprints away from the malevolent architecture and playing games with the player’s perspective as an exit that seemed so close is yanked away at the last second. The techniques used in DMC are part of successful horror cinema canon for good reason; they evoke gut-twisting reactions by turning around our intuitive grasp of spatial reasoning.
I wasn’t on board with this re-envisioned DMC until now; I thought that Dante looked like a whiny teenager and didn’t care for the modern aesthetic in previous teaser trailers. Now that I’ve had a taste of what the final product will be, though, I wholeheartedly support the bold new direction Capcom and Ninja Theory are taking a franchise that I have a lot of love for.
Thats pretty much what we've known for the past yearThis really must be a new Dante, then.

I don't think he will. Not now, at least, if he's really the same old Dante. And the team said to Gamestop that he has "no prospects and no employment."As long as Dante still has his shop, that premise sounds neat.
Yeah, but I'm still wondering if it's part of the same chronology, like DMC3 was, a prequel. They're not clarifying if DMC is just a prequel or if it has no connection with the previous story, but they said we're going to see familiar faces, making it all the more confusing.Thats pretty much what we've known for the past year
Wow, glad to see the atmosphere and reaction to DMC is rather positive here. Almost every single forum and comment section I've checked recently on game sites and blogs is filled with angry fanboys hating the new game simply because Dante looks different.
Don't get me wrong. Original DMC1 / 3 look of Dante is the best and maybe this is not the sequel that those 2 gems deserved but everyone I've met has become enemy of Ninja Theory after seeing this and is boycotting the game. Compared to them, the reactions here are way more rational and positive. Any game deserves benefit of a doubt as long as it's not an annualized copy pasted job (And sometimes even some of those titles turn out decent).I'm less put off now than when this was first shown. It sounds less like painfully bad fan fiction (the vibe that "My name is Dante" left me with) and more like the younger Dante is just one part of an overall character arc. So I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt on it.
Gamespot Interview on DMC gives new details on the game!
So basicly this Dante has Demon and Angel form, the demon form is the white-haired Dante with a red coat, kinda bland design compared to the previous installations, but basicly the core idea here is that normal mode you got the gun + dual blades and other weapons, but the Demon and Angel form unlock new variations and new skillsets, on Demon form you can do the good ol' "get over here!" chain pull movements, where the angel form allows you to dash and glide around, these will also effect the environment so the different modes aint just for action gameplay.
The story setting is that demons are pretty much manipulating our world, they watch over us like big brothers thru their cameras, we see them as normal cameras but Dante having demon blood can see the reality, not the illusional spells cast on us, and he can see all the demonic corurption and demons swirling around. So yeah pretty cool setting if you aks me.
I cant imagine how that would work out. Maybe Capcom is consulting on the game, but Id imagine its primairly being developed by NT, gameplay and allI've read somewhere that the combat is still being handled by Capcom itself and Ninja Theory is doing everything else. Anyone have source?
The gameplay looks super fun. Looks like this will be my first DMC purchace![]()
