Do-over?!

Good lord. How do you think WETA achieved what it did. On the backs of ILM who pioneered all this with Jurassic Park. For the time, the Hulk effects were amazing. Today they would be ten times better.

Hardly matters, my friend. I'm saying WETA is better, regardless of how they learned it or who they learned it from. It's all about taste here.

If WETA handled the Hulk, it'd have looked better back THEN. ILM hasn't been very good for years. Just MHO.

Did you see the news today on ILM? Or is that what you guys are talking about? If you didn't (I'm too lazy to search) they dumped their practical effects department and are strictly digital/cgi now.

Honestly, I would prefer a do over. Don't get me wrong, I don't totally hate the movie. It had some cool parts. But I think the bad greatly out weigh the good. If they do a sequel, I hope that enough time had passed, that The Hulk has developed more and does things he did not do in the first film. Oh and make zero to no references to Banners father.IMHO.

ILM, WETA, who cares? For all intents & purposes people would have the same issues with the original movie no matter who did the effects.

Thats cool. I get its all opinion. For me, Revenge of the Sith was amazing special effects, as well as the Kong character in King Kong. I thought Hulk was great for its time.

The new Superman is supposed to be unbelievable for its special effects. At least that is what the early reviews are saying.

*Sigh* Once again, this is not bad:

Total US Gross$132,160,047

Production Budget$137,000,000

Prints and Advertising Budget$35,000,000

Worldwide Gross$225,600,000

A movies gross does not dictate whether it is a good movie or not. X3 broke X2's opening weekend but X2 was a far more superior movie, imo. There are plenty of crappy movies that make good money, then there are really good movies that make very little money. Like i said, a movies gross does not dictate whether the movie is a 'good quality' movie.

Good is subjective. I loved the Hulk and other's hated it. As a stand alone film it was awesome (Not without flaws) but awesome. That's my opinion and if the majority feel that way than part 2 will be huge.

I think directors and producers rather have good money then make a good movie.

ILM in the hands of Cameron or Spielberg is better than WETA in the hands of Jackson, but over all, WETA is better

I disagree, i think Weta under Jackson are nye on perfect.

I cant believe they are re-casting Banner, Bana is one of the best younger actors out there today, yet his fee wouldnt be that much. I hate re-casts and am now no longer looking forward to this movie.

Since when was this confirmed? This is just fanboi speculation. Far from proof that this is the case. Odd that you would give up the film when it's just that.
As I've said before, no one in the know has confirmed that is actually happening. Just speculation from one small sentence from Avi and now everyone is calling it fact. Even though said fact isn't a fact, and totally clashes what we've been told so far. :doom:

I understand what you're saying Ions. However, "do-over" is pretty telling.

Hi Sava. Where've ya been? :)

the CGI in WOTW was better than KK IMO. plus when you add in all the stuff that Jackson had and Spielberg didnt, it looks all the more impresssive. And James Cameron did T2 like what?.. 14 years ago, the CGI still kicks ass

i moved house and had to get new internet connection, hence the long time away, what did i miss about Hulk 2?

Nothing except a director will be annouced soon. Man I hope it's Guillermo Del Toro, McTiernan, Cohen, or even Michael Bay. Don't laugh at Bay cause he did a cool job with The Island.

Bruno posted an interview iF MAGAZINE had with Avi. This is the gist of it.

iF: So will you be recasting HULK with completely new actors?

ARAD: It’s a “do-over”. I loved the HULK movie, it was just a different approach, and it wasn’t exactly the comic. We want to be much closer to the comic. It’s what we would rather do.

It seems the phrase "It's a Do-Over" is unclear.

Oh yeah, They're make a Dukes of Hazard 2 :down

i doubt it would be a remake, more likely a "do-over" as in style and tone of the film

Well AD posted something that says they are looking to cast someone new for Bruce Banner, not an official source but someone seemingly in the know. Also they way Arad said do-over made it sound somewhat like a re-make.

I disagree with the first part, i think Kongs CGI was better despite being much harder to do IMO.

Well, the guy who posted it, Advanced Dark, has come up with plenty of reliable info before, so i have no reason to believe that this isnt reliable.

Hurmp :( Sava, Think of it this way; you're working on a statue of Big Ben. You deside to update Big Ben. When you're finished with it you see that it has some flaws and find out that people don't like the idea that you changed an Icon. So, you put that one aside and make one new statue, this time more like the real Big Ben. What do you call the second statue?
