• Super Maintenance

Xenforo Cloud upgraded our forum to XenForo version 2.3.4. This update has created styling issues to our current templates.

Starting January 9th, site maintenance is ongoing until further notice, but please report any other issues you may experience so we can look into.

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

Do you ever consider the consequences of ragging on people on these boards?

Well I was referring to him shouting his love over MSN for The Vickster.

Yeah, Vicky.

"Hey guys I talked to a girl! Find out how I Did!!"

I remember that thread.

I'm really tempted to take a print out of all of his posts about her and post it to her manager one day. The restraining order would be the icing on the JAL cake
Go ahead punk make my day!

I was thinking about this today. Things can get kind of nasty from time to time and has anyone ever takne the time to think about what kind of state the person on the other side of the conversation might be in. You can't see the other guy in messageboard chats so for all we know the guy I just called a waste of perfectly good skin could be some suicidal nut-job that then takes a shot-gun and blows his head off. While this wouldn't be entirely my fault I would share some responsibility for it.

What with recent events (starwarsagents scary fantasies etc) is this something you've ever considered and if so does it bother you?

I'd have to agree with that. I only get back at people if they insult me first, but I don't carry it over a long time.

But, if you really take these forums too seriously... it's kinda sad. I do take them seriously, but if it bothers you, just click the big red X in the right corner of your internet browser.

In all seriousness, this isn't really a shark feeding tank of a messageboard. There were messageboards, that you had to technically be brought in by another member almost like you were on probation. You go in on this messageboard as a newbie and step out of line just a lil and it was like blood in the water.

Most of the times, it's newbie mistakes. But in those newbie mistakes, I almost feel it's a poster being toughened up or initiated. But a lot of times the people who get ragged on here, kinda bring it on themselves.

Nope. I don't really care to tell you the truth. Often, I don't insult anyone, but if a grown adult or teenager can't take a joke, or treat another faceless person's words like fact, then I don't feel sorry for them. Nobody should take themselves that seriously.

StarWarsAgent is just a sterling example of what kids shouldn't aspire to be. . . . or a made up entity to entertain. Either way, it was funny.

Ahem...

"I accidently filled out a gay application."

Those were good times.

As someone who is frequently horrible to a lot of people, I happily admit that it either drives them into a deep pit of depression or they realize how goddamn pointless this whole place is. If option A happens, they deserve it.

no...if someone is stupid enough to blow his head off because of something he read on an internet message board, he doesnt deserve to be breathing my air in the first place.

I've never seen anything positive in flaming other users. It creates an atmosphere of tension on the boards and who knows how someone you can't see might interpret your harsh words. It's better just to keep things civil.

The best thread was the one with the ''Outside Vicki's Bedroom and Other Tales of Kainedamo'' title. I don't know who renamed that thread, but sheer genius.

My idea. Daisy's doing actually. :o

Is this another thread about the infamous internet bullies? The fact that someone actually coined the phrase "internet bully" still astounds me. Some people freak out online, though on the other hand, there are those who make it their sole purpose to be the snarky faux sarcastic one on the boards, and their lives are just as pointless as the former.

Do you know who the most unstable person on these boards was??

The guy obsessed with the girl from Hooters. He met her ONCE, in Hooters, had a photo taken, and many months later still thought about her and how nice she was to him. He wrote a fan fiction!! He wrote a story about them ending up together!!!

The guy was unbalanced to say the least.

starwarsagent is a fake, a blatent phony. He's parodying someone from TF.N.

Now, on the subject of making fun of people. A joke is a joke. In an ideal world, everyone would just take it on the chin and move on. So I don't think people should watch their humour. Go ahead, make your funny jokes, it's not your fault if the other person doesn't have a sense of humour.

However, there are people that take things too seriously. I'm not referring to the victims of ragging, but the people that do ragging. Like RogueDLN or whatever his name is. Back in one of my topics where I had a pic of myself, he kept going on and on about how ugly I was. I mean, it was the intent of my pic to make people laugh. But this guy took it strangely seriously. I mean, it was bizarre.

I see that type of thing alot. And I also see really serious ragging for seemingly no reason at all. It's like... what the hell is your problem??

You can take a hit like no other Kainedamo

just as in real life, if something of importance is brought up, I won't throw it back in someone's face.

except for that everything else is fair game. The internet is the only place where you can be judged purely based on intellect, an ideal society. Anything anyone gets in terms of insults can purely be based and directly traced back to something the poster in question has mentioned.

in short, you had it coming....
