Off topic post,but most of my Hype friends post here so it's the best place to say this.

My father had a heart attack this morning and is in hospital.He should be fine they say.But according to the doctors he was VERY lucky.Had he got there any later than he did and it may well have been fatal.

Venom_uk and Sable I know you guys know what it's like to go thru this.So please keep your fingers crossed that he makes a speedy recovery.

Unfortunatly I know exactly what you're going thru mate. It's a right kick in the gut.

Thankfully though from what you've told me he seems to be on the mend, which is the important thing now.

Anyway, wish him & your Mam my best next time you see them & of couse all the best to you too dude.

As for the Ock/Black Cat pic.It was a dream sequence.Ock would never touch that skank with a ten foot barge pole

They need to introduce Ultimate Stunner.Give Ock some REAL woman.And she'd be a good instrument to reunite him with his tentacles.

That dream sequence was fun. Right next to Ock making out with Black Cat we see Green Goblin marrying Aunt May & Kingpin with the Venom suit! Haha!

Well he was beaten eventually as the villain always is.But he sure gave them an ass whoopin.Here's a few pics from the Hulk encounter:

Im glad PAD rectified this encounter quickly since Ock wouldn't really be a match for the Hulk.Plus at the time this was the Hulk with Bruce Banner's brain.

Pretty much Ock beating the Hulk in this story was Erik Larson taking a shot at PAD since he he wasn't fan of David's Hulk run.

I really can't fault his writing skills on Ock.He's one villain Bendis seems to appreciate and understand.

Though I hated how Ock was taken down in Ultimate Six

I think some time next year is when the bust is getting released,I always liked that green yellow costume look.


I know Randy Bowen is doing alot of full size Spider-Man villains statues lately with Green Goblin,Rhino,and Mysterio being worked on.On the Bowen forum he said other classic Spidey vilains are in the works and I know a full size classic Ock statue is in demand over there with the posters,so I say it would be a safe bet he gets done.



To add my take on Ultimate Ock,I agree he is the best done Ultimate Spider-Man or any Ultimate villain.He is updated and fresh but doesn't betray the spirit of the classic character.I could show his pic to people and they would know right away who he is,unlike with Ultimate Green Goblin.Ultimate Ock is a good example of what a Ultimate character should be.

To get back to the Hulk and Ock battle for a sec,I just noticed when looking at the pics you scanned that Ock says how he prefered the Hulk when he was mindless running around in purple pants yelling Hulk smash.

Few months ago I read a article by Erik Larson who wrote and drew Revenge Of saying how he always prefered dumb Hulk and could never understand certain writers fasination with writing a smart Hulk.He ends the piece with "but I digress",which is PAD'S trade mark line.I guess Erik and Ock must still feel the same way lol.


Did anyone read the Marvel Fanfare issues where Ock fought Iron man?Pretty good,I always like the part with Sandman,Electro,and The Grey Gargoyle each in their cells and this dumb guard trying to tell Tony Stark how dangerous they are.Stark then points to Ock's cell and mentions how he is the most dangerous one when compared to the others.Been a while since I read that one but im pretty sure it went down like that.

First, Ock I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. I am glad to hear he survived, and may his recovery be speedy. I hope he came out with no neurological damage.

I am also hoping he's not one of those [and their name is Legion] who decides the way to deal with big health-problems is to sweep them under the rug. When he gets out of the hospital, he's going to have a regimen to follow... you and your mom, etc. sit on his head if you have to, to make him stick to it. He's not going to like it much, but it will add years to his life. Best to all of you during this horribly stressful time.

He had the scan done this evening.He's got two blocked arteries.He'll be in there for a week.Don't know if he's getting surgery or what yet.The specialist will see him on monday

But as soon as he comes home he's on a strict diet of rabbit food,and he's going to dramatically cut back on the smoking.

Whether he likes it or not!!!!

That's the full panel.It wasn't even real.It was a dream fantasy thing Peter had.

I'm sorry to hear that, but on the upside, I'm glad to hear he was treated in time! I'll keep him in my thoughts.
