Off topic but from looking at that scan that UK posted, I noticed the spider has fur on it. Isn't that kind of odd of an insect/arachnid to have that? Nature can be strange sometimes.

All spiders have hair on there bodys, just some have alot more than others. Tarantulas for example have lots of hair on there bodys which makes them look furry.The Black Widow spider has very fine hairs which you can hardly see so it looks slick & shiney. & yes, nature can be very strange sometimes.

I went back and looked through all my zillions of captures from SM2. And there is no way in hell Sandman is ever going to come close to topping any of Ock's scenes.

The revelation of the rather bland looking Sandman has made me appreciate even more how cool Ock looked in SM-2.

Yes there was certain aspects to his character that I strongly disliked,but he was still a great villain and stole that movie.So I feel like gazing at a few pics of the mighty tentacled one:

Ah, how great was THIS scene...? That was just magnificent:

One thing you have to give Ock, in every single scene he was in, HE WAS THE BOSS. No one got the upper hand on him! Nobody. Not even GG can make that claim: Spidey one-upped him several times. And everyone knows I am a huge GG1 fan, both in the books and onscreen.

Large and in charge, he was; multi-tasking without turning a hair. I have a feeling we're gonna miss that.

Before the film was released, even seeing spoiler-pix like the ones shown here made you think: "WOW how awesome is that guy?! BADASS! It's gonna be so cool to finally see him onscreen, CAN'T WAIT!" and then we get Sandman and it's just total...

.... meh .....

I don't hate him, but I damn sure don't love him, and he inspires no awe in me.

I remember the first time I saw the experimental "disaster" scene in the theatre, I was actually upset for poor Ock, at his life being wrecked, everything taken away from him. Tears actually came to my eyes. I wonder if that will happen this time out? Wait, don't answer that.

I remember the first time we got a look at Norman on the glider at the Unity Festival event: how awe-inspiring he was. And even though he wanted to kill practically everyone, I was so upset when he died. I was like, "NOOOOO!" .... I wonder if that'll happen this time?

Don't answer that, either.

Guess I'm just jaded.

If there is sandman AND venom in this next one, that only proves it takes double the villian to even try and compare with Doc Ock's presentation.

Yep,that is very true.Ock didn't go down once in any of the battles.And if he hadn't turned 'good' at the end I reckon he'd have mopped the floor with Spidey.

You might have tears of joy when and if Sandman dies I can't see him being an integral part of the plot.More of a side villain.For some action scenes.

Ock still has every chance of returning.Back and being large and in charge

What we need is Electro next being large and in charge.Because Sandman ain't giving off that vibe.

Not many villains are worthy of following in GG and Ock's footsteps.But Electro is one of them.

and Ock, the back-pack is packed separately from the figure in the package. You have to actually put it on him to begin with.

So yeah, it comes off. The tentacles are on that, though... no b-p, no tentacles.
