I know know MORE HORRIFYING FACTS about this incredibly gross process than I ever dreamed possible! Did you know babies in utero are both drinking amniotic fluid AND urinating into it?! Now you do! Aaaaaand, wheeeeeee! I could tell you stuff that would have you starting awake in a cold sweat, a scream stillborn in your throat! The pun is intended.

Not that I had any intention of having babies any time soon, but now I'm going to think about that gross fact when I do. Damn you! :shakes fist: That's disgusting. And yet, I'm intrigued to know more disgusting facts so I can go to work Thursday and tell our pregnant desk girl aaaaaaalll about them. :D

And with that nastiness out of the way, that was INCREDIBLE artwork S, I want to see you do more artwork like that, that is great. He looks fabulous.

Heh, thanks! If Marvel ever should need a Doc Ock story artist, I'm their girl. Now if I could only get their attention. :waves a flag pitifully:

Why....? Because that's what we villains DO: we torment you, our victims with horrible knowledge. And I don't enjoy it, I really don't.... ok, that was a lie....

Back on topic: enjoying the fanfic installments, btw...

That was very villainous of you, Sym. I'm very much appreciative. :(

And now that I've had a chance to read those fanfic entries myself, I concur. Awesome stuff, people.

One or two frames of that animation look pretty much exactly like that picture you sent me where you look afraid you're about to retch from celebrating too hard. :D

Be sure to let her know that they save the placenta after birth, and the dr. can examine it and know exactly whether she was naughty or nice during the pregnancy. True. If she smokes, neglects to eat properly, has hypertension, does recreational drugs, any of that stuff.... he'll know. The one from the lady with a herpes simplex infection had these nice little fluid-filled blisters all over it.

Last Wed. our instructor showed us 5 different placentas, and even with minimal experience you can read them like a book. Santa's watching, girls. To see if you are naughty or nice to your baby. :)

Btw people I urge you again to get Castro's Sinister Six novels.I just recieved part 2-Revenge of the Sinister Six today. And the tentacled one is kicking all kinds of ass in it.Perfect characterization of all involved.

I wish he would write more. I bet Marvel paid him like, $100 for all three books and now he's ticked off & not going to do more novelisations. :( He obviously likes these characters - unlike that guy who does the movie novelisations, who [judging by the novel for 1] would not know a villain if one shot him dead.

Post-natal detective work. I like it.

Well, he also took a several-year break between the second and third books. They released the first two as one big paperback in the meantime, I believe, and I completely forgot about the storyline by the time the third one came out. I don't know the exact reasons for this, but that may have something to do with his absence of new work on this subject matter.

Sym, you're an evil, evil lady....I love it! Bwahahaha! Don't ever change! :venom:

I've always liked the following line from 'Scrubs' about child birth... "You'll fart, pee, puke, and poop in front of ten complete strangers who'll be staring intently at your vagina...which, by the way, has an 80% chance of tearing!"

Ouch!

Man, I love 'Scrubs' (I don't suppose it would surprise anyone that I idolize Dr. Perry Cox)! But yeah, that line made me cringe.

I've actually learnt alot from watching Scrubs. That line I just quouted being one of them. I didn't know whether to laugh or cringe when I 1st heard that. *shudders* Nasty s**t!

Dude, idolizing Dr. Cox is far from being a bad thing. He is a GOD amongst men! He just rocks on soooo many levels. Hate to meet someone like him in real life thou...that would be a right b*tch! lol

He is indeed a God amongst men. I would kill to be able to rant the way he does.

Well, I'd kill just to get to the front of the line at the movie theater, but that's neither here nor there. :o

Well Peter David has not been impressing me so far in FNSM.But that's probably due to the crappy storyline he has to write.

I am wondering who is going to be writing Ock's next arc, which is supposed to be happening this year.As long as it's not Reg Hudlin,I'm fine with it.That guy can't write for s***

I am getting impatient waiting for my new Ock bust to arrive. It better come this week, along with my Alfred Molina signed picture.

I want to create a very badass doc ock animation... something with fear-driven dramatics.

:thoughts:

Oh good God. That's it, I'm adopting.

Okey dokey,I thought I might post some pics of my comic collection featuring our tentacled terror.

NOTE: This is not my entire collection.I merely took individual issues from various Ock arcs that I have.I also took some pics of my Ock TPB's too.Forgive the crappy quality in some of the pics.I think the lenses on my camera need cleaning.

That is all very true; I hear all inhibition is GONE by the time one reaches the end-stages [which is why I would never want the other half in my delivery-room; I don't want him seeing me like that. Plus I knew someone who's husband was so grossed out by the proceedings he never went near her again. Instant divorce]. I hear a lot of cursing, screaming, hostility and throwing things also happens. They used to drug you well, now the trend is toward Natural Pain and I can tell you, *I* would be like, "GIMME DRUGS!" Ah well.... Labor & Delivery is the last place I will go on this rotation, I'll let you people know how it goes in there. Should be interesting. :)

If Hudlin writes Ock's next appearance, I will do some screaming of my own. That would be a disaster, I hate the way he writes. I would rather see Dr.Seuss writing Spidey than Hudlin. Unfortunately I think Suess is deceased, or I'd start lobbying for that. It could not possibly be worse than Hudlin.

[All that said, anyone else think Ock is having waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much fun with that new camera of his?!]

Isn't Hudlin leaving the Spidey books? I wouldn't think he'd be writing the good Doctor's next appearance, but if he does then I might have to skip it. Didn't someone say a while back that JMS would be writing Doc, Molten Man, and Sandman in some near future arcs?

Awesome collection Ock.I bet they'll be worth a lot of money in a few more years

JMS has plans to use Ock sometime in the future I believe from a interview I read with him.I know hes bring back Doom over in FF ,so I have my fingers crossed.

Someone over at the Spider-Man message board asked PAD about Ock and his response was he as no plans for any of the rogues this year.Though he would like to use Mysterio sometime,PAD is one writer I trust writing good Spider-Man stories not having to involve a major villain.

His writing of Electro was great.

Oh don't worry about Reg Hudlin,he is done as of his final part of the Other.Thank god,his arc before the Other started was dreadful.Happy to see his run was cut short.

The Doc Ock bust from Diamond Select is coming out Feb or March.Your ebay win was probaly for the pre order.

Just looking at that piece makes me hope Bowen does a full size Doc Ock statue. They have GG,Scorpion,Rhino,Venomx2,Mysterio and the Lizard coming out in the FS statue line.Really need Ock to fill out that gang of rogues.

Yes I remember that.He said he's bringing back Ock,Sandman and Molten Man.JMS writes Ock pretty well.So I'm not worried.

Mysterio's coming back?? Excellent.

Good riddance. If he stayed,we might have Aunt May and MJ fighting along side Spidey in Iron Man suits on a regular basis.

Hmmmm it doesn't say anything about pre order. But I don't mind if it is.It says it should be delivered withing 30 days of purchase.

I can't wait to have him.He looks too cool.

Did you forget what else JMS is capable of? Don't think there isn't a way to desecrate Octavius under the sleazy pen of JMS, because there is, and even if it isn't Dr. Octopus, there's plenty else to screw up.
