Christmas special title revealed - "Last Christmas"

Like George. He lives up the road from me. Few years ago he carashed his car into a shop. Someone wrote "Wham" next to it :woot:

Hmmmm. No sign of a visible baby bump for Clara.

Although, even IF she was pregnant when Danny died, then she could have already given birth by the time of the Christmas special given the timey wimey nature of the show.

Possible. They'd be jumping ahead a year ahead I suppose though (assuming Danny's death was meant to be around autumn she wouldn't have the kid until the following year). I guess if it was the Spring she got knocked up she might have just had it though.

Another twist to work in the Orson connection (which could be planned for her eventual farewell now that I think of it) is she might go back in time to see the living Danny for a goodbye fling (he wouldn't be aware it's a future version of her and thinks it's normal night with her, while 'his' Clara is really off with the Doctor somewheres) and she gets preggers then....Maybe, lol.

I feel like I've been spoiled with the Master lately. I just finished Dark Eyes 3, which (when combined with Dark Eyes 2) encompasses the best series of interconnected stories the Master has ever been involved in. Meanwhile, I thought Dark Water/Death in Heaven was probably the best TV story the Master has been in since the 1980's.

I think both Macqueen and Gomez are doing fantastic jobs with the character.

Just listening to Creed of the Kromon and I can't stop picturing them as the aliens from Bruce Campbells Alien Apocalypse movie.

It's actually much worse than the trailer makes it out to be.

The trailer makes it look hilariously awful.

Aw, poor C'rizz. I feel like he doesn't really come into his own as a character until much later, and the 8th Doctor's stories seemed to be running out of steam by that point.

Gomez was fantastic. I hope we see more of her in the future.

The 12th Doctor is coming for us on Christmas day!

I'm a bit disappointed that one of the missing episodes is one I wanted to see just because they had humanized Daleks who wanted to play and made a train.

I can't help but think anything he says is intimidating

Recently watched "The Three Doctors" for the first time and really enjoyed it. Seeing the Second and Third Doctors interact was great. Unfortunately Hartnell only appears a few times on screen because of health reasons but he steals every scene he's in. The Brigadier's reaction to seeing the two Doctors was priceless. While some of the special effects don't hold up very well I really liked Omega. He's easily one of classic Who's most memorable villains. I thought the design of Omega's helmet was pretty cool. The reveal that his physical body had already been destroyed was excellent and when he took off his helmet to reveal nothing there was a really cool visual. This was also my first exposure to Jo Grant who I found pretty likable.

Just wondering considering Jenna might be leaving next season or at christmas, who would we want as the next companion? I was thinking maybe Kimberley Nixon, she's pretty good, I've enjoyed her work, has a good range and god she can't half shout, it'd be good to see her and capaldi interact

Recently decided to start watching Tom Baker's run from the beginning. Overall I thought season 12 was pretty good. Robot the first full episode to feature Tom Baker is easily the weakest and your probably better off just skipping it. The highlights of this serial are the wardrobe montage, Baker's first jelly babies reference and the giant robot which actually looks kind of cool despite some poor special effects.

Overall The Ark in Space is a really solid story despite Harry making some sexist remarks and the bug-eyed aliens looking absolutely silly. The remastered version I watched replaces the models of the space station with CGI for some reason.

The shortest serial of the season The Sontaran Experiment and the season finale Revenge of the Cybermen feature the return of the Sontarans and the Cybermen respectively.

The best serial Genesis of the Daleks gives us the Dalek's origin story, introduces Davros and contains a very defining moment for The Doctor when he decides that he can't commit genocide against the Daleks. The last two episodes are particularly good and Michael Wisher performance as Davros throughout is superb. The ending is one of the best resolutions of the entire series.

Robot sure as hell ain't skippable.Tom Baker alone makes it worth watching.

Over all I thought season 13 was excellent. Really not a bad story in the bunch.

"Terror of the Zygons" was a solid story. The Loch Ness monster looked cheap but the Zygons and their sets were better. The tongue-like tentacle design of the Zygons themselves is pretty disgusting. Pity we don't see the Zygons again on TV until the 50th Anniversary special "Day of the Doctor".

"Planet of Evil" I couldn't find copies of the second and third parts of this but it's basically Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is space.

"Pyramids of Mars" is probably the classic Who story I've rewatched the most. It's excellent from beginning to end. Despite the robot Mummies looking a bit clunky Sutekh is one of the better villains of the classic series. "Kneel before the might of Sutekh!"

"The Android Invasion" The androids were creepy and the Kraals were kind of interesting. I wouldn't mind seeing them return to the new series. Plus Doctor doppelgangers are always fun.

"The Brain of Morbius" A Frankenstein-esque story with a talking brain in a jar. If that doesn't immediately sell this story to you I don't know what else will.

"The Seeds of Doom" starts off similar to The Thing complete with Antarctic base. The mood is creepy throughout and I find the plant life turned hostile theme to be pretty unsettling. I usually dislike the longer stories this being six parts it still managed to hold my attention. Tony Beckley gave a great performance as the villain Harrison Chase and the giant Krynoid attacking the house was a really cool visual.

Robot sure as hell ain't skippable.Tom Baker alone makes it worth watching.

I chose not to rewatch it after deciding to watch Tom Baker from the beginning. But yeah every fan should probably see it at least once.

You know what I love about the Tom Baker era of the show? The villains and monsters. He has very few appearances from the old recurring baddies (only 2 Dalek stories and 1 Cyberman story across 7 whole seasons), meaning he had a ton of memorable all-new baddies to deal with. Most of them are so memorable, it's a wonder they haven't appeared on TV since the 70's.

I still can't believe Sutekh has never been used since Tee-Bakes. Seems the kind of villain someone would want to bring back.

Hard to believe he was skinny and a bit flabby in the stomach
