Does a "War Machine" movie even make sense?

No, just no. Give him a spinoff or whatever, but don't make Iron Man 4 a Rhodey movie.

One thing has nothing to do with the other. Blade can't support a comic but has 3 movies.

Blade was a bad ass vampire hunter. Most people didn't even know he was a comic book character.

I just don't think people would be interested in War Machine. They'd just view him as a less charismatic Iron Man.

I think a War Machine could be pretty interesting. It's also a good way to get some more Iron Man villains on the big-screen, like Ghost or Titanium Man. Well unless Iron Man 3 uses those two.

Hell no to that idea. Its bad enough they're not being used in any I'M movies as it is, they should be saved for future I'M movies.

There will be more Iron Man movies than WM movies, no need to waste them on his one low budget movie that may not even be successful.

Make up new villains or have him fight a fictional dictator or something.

with the rich history of villains the Marvel Universe has to offer, they should NEVER make-up a villain for ANY Marvel movie.

I could see using WM to introduce the Black Panther - if they went the African dictator route for a villain. A BLACK HAWK DOWN type movie with WM in in could be pretty cool, maybe the war lord is invading Panther's turf and WM goes to lend a hand, only to find the Panther's people are more than capable of dealing with these things themselves. Toss in a heavy hitter villain [Titanium Man, Klaw, etc.] to give WM someone to butt heads with and there ya go!

Titanium Man should never be introduced in any movie that doesn't have Iron Man in the title or Iron Man/Tony Stark in the lead. Same goes for Ghost, Crimson Dynamo, Mandarin, Blizzard, Madame Masque, Fin Fang Foom, Ultimo.

That'd be like introducing Brainiac or Darkseid in a Superboy or Steel movie.

If that could get Erik Killmonger on screen I would be all for it. Killmonger is one of the coolest and underrated villains in all of comics.

Iron man 2 video game already has ultimo as the main villain, but i like the idea of using firepower, the droids in iron man 2 were similar to him, maybe Jack Taggart can help rebuild them as a suit for Hammer

Crimson Dynamo was folded in with Whiplash, so those are gone, Titanium Man seems to be covering the same ground as Iron Monger, so not much point of using him in an IM sequel, either. Do you really care if Unicorn, Melter, the Freak, etc. are not used in an IM movie?

Of course, Fin Fang Foom should be in the Mandarin movie, so he's off limits too.

No movie is "necessary" but if you were producing a super hero movie at a cost of up to $150 million [or more] would you chose a character that has had some exposure or go with one that most of the movie going audience may have never heard of?

i really hope they dont do a war machine film. there is no need for it, theres avengers and iron man 3 so i dont kno why they would feel the need to make another one about just him, i would find that unnecessary.

It's probably all moot anyway, this probably won't even make it past the script anyway.

As far as Titanium Man goes, you obviously know little about the character and the long history he has with Iron Man, so we'll just leave it at that.

The Iron Man movies so far have shown three villains that have been dead or not used in the past 10-20 years, Stane, Hammer and Whiplash. It's time for some up to date ones.
