Does a "War Machine" movie even make sense?

I love Titanium Man, or at least the '60's version, and would be happy to see him in an IM movie; but he is basically a larger version of IM - just like Iron Monger - and thus to the non-IM fan [average movie goer] he may seem like a rehash of something they already have done. But I will admit, I gave up on the Iron Man comic in the early '70's, and I have bought few issues since, except for the great run by Byrne and Romita Jr.

I have little use for much of anything from the "Ultimate" Universe.

Iron Man 3 must only have Mandarim and Fin Fang Foom, or else fin fang foom could appear in avengers as an asgardian creature that iron man fights

Maybe Tony could battle FFF in a virtual training battle but the asgardian thing works good as well

As much as I want FFF to appear in IM3, the way it sounds is they're just going to use what they said "real world villains and no guys in metal suits" which means, more likely some of these, Mandarin, Madame Masque, Ghost, or Spymaster.

But for future sequels or reboots, because lets face it, there will be more, IM's main villains need to be left alone until they're first used in an IM movie.

Problem with that is you get your die another day or quantum of solice ( ok action but ultimately falls flat )

I'd have AIM involved as a villian in a War Machine movie, especially if it was the African conflict scenario. It could be as simple as the dictator buying weaponry from them. But you can use that as connective tissue to Hydra, Klaw, etc.

I would LOVE to see A.I.M. as villains in any Marvel movie - bee keeper hoods and all!

Forgot about AIM

Makes a lot of sense and would translate well to screen

Hi, people,
Just to express my opinion on this

Deathlok - a) African-American (at least one version, Luther Manning, I think), b) he IS a weapon for the military c) not connected with previous established characters which makes him perfect for adaptation (no continuity baggage), c) heavily armored cyborg/zombie/assassin with lot of guns (think of the possibilities!!!)!

Black Panther - a) African-American, b) awesome warrior/king/military strategist/leader, c) action-adventure (awesome lost super advanced city in the jungle setting, haven't seen that in Marvel movie so far), d)again no continuity baggage

Power Man/Iron Fist - Heroes for Hire - a) Team/team up movie, b) characters are pretty awesome if done properly, c) Power Man is African-American, d)again no continuity baggage

Why make War Machine then? His main story was pretty much over, and he would not work without Iron Man!

Deathlok would, in my opinion, be much better movie than War Machine! Easy to tie into existing continuity (military secret experiment Universal Soldier style, ultimate assassin commissioned by the government, made by AIM, grafted Stark tech in the super-soldier, he can be the symbol of the Stark tech becoming perverted and twisted.... possibilities are endless!). Now, I know that the Deatlok is from alternate future thingy, but the movies can do away with that and make him the part of the Marvel movieverse!

Sorry for bad English!

Black Panther is NOT AFRICAN AMERICAN. He is African but not African American. Jim Rhodes is an African American characters. Deathlok is some disfigured character who at times is a black guy but he doesn't look like a hero I would want to be. Luke Cage would make for a great character but then it also screams brother who just got out of jail with super powers. Rhodes especially as presented in Iron man 2 is an intelligent African American male who is not a violent man but does what he does for good. He is presentable and someone to model yourself after. A african american superhero like that does more for african americans then for any other race or nationality.

Besides War Machine arsenal of weapons makes for some good action.

My point exactly a war machine movie would be awesome because it would be a shoot em up come get some movie

For the same reason I would want to be the solider that handles the MGL grenade launcher or mini gun, it's what ever in us that makes call of duty one of the best selling video games

Movies shouldn't be like video games though. Not video games like CoD anyway.

The campaigns are all really good in CoD though. They really amped it up in Modern Warfare 2. It was really like being in a movie. I haven't played Black Ops yet, but I bet it has the same feel.

black ops is awesome

and I'm not saying it should be like CoD. read my post again

BTW, how the h*ll doesn't War Machine ever run out of ammo?

there should be a double gatling attachment to the next outfit.. more firepower the better.. and have the tech-assimilation feature like from the recent comics.. merge with an F-16 and start wrecking shop..
