Does anybody else miss the amalgam universe???

I don't know, but I did like Spider-Boy and Dark Claw was cool. I wasn't a fan of the second series, but the first was great!
It would be sweet if one of the 52 universes was the Amalgam Universe, but if DC and Marvel both have to OK it's use, I guess it won't happen. bummer.

Loved me some Speed Demon. :ghost: I'd be all over that in a heartbeat if they came out with a regular.

Heck no. It just took everything great about Marvel and made it not as cool.

Hello, zombie!

It was nice as a one-off thing, but I don't really need to see the Amalgam universe again. Access could actually be a cool DC character now that they've got a Multiverse again, though.
I agree. Access and the original Monitor > new Monitors.

Honestly, what isn't better than the new Monitors other than Adam Beechen and Superboy Prime?

Steve Trevor? The last time he appeared, it was Nemesis disguised as him, in Heinberg's run...well, arc. Simone has mentioned that he'll appear, though.

He does exist, post-Crisis. Didn't he marry Etta Candy?

Oh, I thought someone offed him. Did the Amazons still get their fascination with star motifs from his mom's USAF plane or whatever?

I suppose. Hasn't been mentioned in a while, but it hasn't been retconned or anything.

Yeah. Wonder Woman's armor is modeled after the U.S. flag to honor Diana Trevor, who saved Hippolyta's life and died in the process. And Steve's still alive. He's a U.S. Senator, actually.

That was always one of those retcons that made sense and covered a gap in logic well enough, but left me scratching my head at the absurdity of it.

Well it's technically not really a retcon, since it was a part of Post-Crisis pretty much from the start, and Post-Crisis WW obviously isn't even the same character.

Deputy Secretary of Defense, technically.

Don't tell me you don't remember all of Rucka's run, Corp. It should be ingrained into your brain like...language, or sex.

I hopped on the Rucka train late, actually, so I never read the full thing.

...is there any particular reason why you haven't yet read the whole thing? I mean, other than dementia?

No money + other runs to read. Wonder Woman's not that high on my list of favorite characters, so her old stories get bumped down on my list of priorities.

Thanl God this came out when I wasn't reading comics cause this sucks!

Are you talking about the amalgam comics? Cuz if so it's interesting that you state that they suck while in the same sentence admit not having read them.
At least you don't jump to completely ignorant and blatantly stupid assumptions. That's a relief.
