Comics Doesn't anyone else read Spider-Girl??

Alright, SG fans; this here's a call to arms. Over in th' Clone Saga thread, us Cloneheads've decided to band together to create THE ultimate CS website. Bios, summaries, factoids...the works. Now, what's this got to do with SG fans? Everything! As SG is a DIRECT result of th' CS, not only will she be mentioned, but given her own sub-site directly related to th' main one. So, any SG fans out there who would like to lend a hand th' web's ultimate source on this moment in Spidey's life, drop by th' Reilly thread to see what we're doin', then drop me a PM with some contact info fer ya if you'd like to help out.

Gonna be a site fer th' fans BY th' fans.

Do any of you subscribe to Spider-girl through Marvel? I wonder if issue 0 will be delivered as part of the subscription.

So, is this title any good? I was down at the comic book place today, and I signed down for a couple of issues to try it out...is it good compared to USM?
Just curious...

I like it better personally. Almost no decompression whatsoever, and the writing and characterization is top notch

no decompression sounds good, at the moment I am lovin' the Clone Saga, but it's getting too drawn out. having to wait 3-4 issues for an arc to really get moving is frustrating. Thanks for the good words, will definately give it a try.
( Plus Tom DeFalco is awesome..I loved some of his old ASM issues )

Just read issue 1 of the new series. Not bad, still has the same feel. Makes sense since the same people make the book. Kind of pointless to restart it instead of just continuing on :wow:

I picked it up today....

Sweet storytelling as usual.

:yay:

Great debut issue. My only problem is with "Gene" as a love interest. He kind of seems like a deuche bag

Just finished reading #1. There's all kinds of stuff a' brewin'. It's good to have Mayday back.

I love the storytelling style... it really does remind me of old school Marvel storytelling of the 70's & 80's...

Probably why I love the book so much.

:word:

I think Gene fits 'cause I've known quite a few people who've had questionable tastes in companions. Hopefully it's not permanent.

It's basically all the things that made me love Marvel so much. If only ALL their titles were like this again.

GREAT book.

He's been seeing May for a while, but this is our first look at him. For a first impression, he came off a bit too strong with that "touchy-feely-kissy-take-it-to-the-next-level" stuff. There might be nothing to it, but I'm keeping an eye on him.

I love the idea of a romance for Mayday because it's going to add a lot to the story, but I would like to see it from the beginning.

Mayday should get a lezbo thing going on with Felicity. That would be hawt. As for Eugene, where is Bendis when you need him?

And the saga of Spider-Girl continues. Nice transition by Defalco from ish # 100 to the reboot. Mayday has longer hair now, she looks better with it. :o

Hobgoblin is so brutal that it's almost great. The coming issues are definitely going to be a wild ride. And her with "Gene" is a little odd, I agree with Peter on this one. :woot:

But Defalco and company continue to tell down to earth basic stories that keep you coming back for more.

And Jimmy's Spider-Girl comic was SOOO fantasmic! :oldrazz:

No Frank Cho on pencils?

Damn I hate not having a comic store near me. I haven't read this yet, and probably won't until around Nov. 15th I think.

So Jarkoer got himself mentioned in Wizard. Congrats.

Actually I got Jarkoer mentioned in Wizard. The reporter interviewed me first, and I said make sure you talk to this guy, too. And then he didn't use any of my quotes. :(
