Comics Doesn't anyone else read Spider-Girl??

Just read issue number #89, and it was ok. I loved Moose's scene at the end, it was pretty cool! One of the only times I liked Frenzs' work.
I read her until last christmas...it's a good title, but I can go right back to it and feel like I didn't miss anything

why did you stop reading it? I really like reading this book, hence me getting a subscription :p I remember Tom's first run on Spider-man, and I thought he was one of the best writers. It's is good to see him continuing on in a similar book.

What's up comicgirl! Long time! Now only the GOOD titles can give you that kind of feeling, but i'm glad to hear that you're still with title even if it's on on again, off again thing. Did you read the Last Hero Standing mini? Well, we hope that you'll come back and join us for another upcoming arc!

Hey Spideywebs, i guess having a subscription PAYS off after all, being that you already have issue 89! I can't wait to see the conclusion to this one!

ran out of $$..I read too many as it is :(

My subscription finally came in early for the first time in over a year. Just read it a second ago.

Semi-spoilerish thoughts --

Wow. Definitely intense. Kinda thing that makes a reader quiet down and listen. Really had a lot of emotions and frustrations running through it. It was definitely a change of pace from the norm. #90 looks like it could be a much lighter story. I would say that SG fans probably need it after the seriousness of #89. But yeah, the New York Times was right in talking about this issue. I didn't realize how big of a problem this was. It's definitely something people need to read and know about. Makes me proud to have helped to support this series with you guys over the years. :)

Which ones do you read that are better than Spider-girl???
You can get a subscription for $20 at Marvel.com. :D

"Also coming up in issue 100 is a big wedding issue that might involve May dressed in white," DeFalco continued. "Then a lot of shenanigans. What we try to do is make every issue accessible to a new reader. We're going to feature one issue stories and the marketing hook is so that people can pick things up and start fresh. The real reason is Ron Frenz and I get bored doing multi-part stories and like the challenge of coming up with a new idea every month."

I feel the same way you do buddy! It's been fun being behind this comic, and seeing this comic live on in such great spirits, is a joy! I haven't picked up this issue yet, but i will this weekend!

I am happy to do my part for this thread :D You guys have converted me. I hope you are proud of yourselves!!! :D

I'm more proud of the fact that you enjoy the comic, and it was due to you making a decision! But yes- i AM proud of myself!! And thank you for contributions to OUR thread, Spideywebs! Hopefully this will be post 100!!! Let's find out....

Well, considering how only about 4 people post here regularly, it will probably be one of us :P. We should find a way to advertise this book more. I want it to reach issue 500 :D

Hell, that's a real challenge there Spideywebs!! Just getting her to 100 was a task and a half!! But as optimistic as we are about the future, let's take it one step at a time, ok? (LOL!) 500 would be golden though, to say the least.

One little step at a time indeed. :-)
All it takes is for each SG fan to make one new fan somewhere out there in the world. And to get the comic stores to order more or get a subscription or something.

Heh! I wonder what Tom has in store for SG #100? That interview has gotten me very curious. But if he's talking about #100 now, then he must already be having the subplots lay the groundworks for a climax of some sort in #100.

lol. That'd be some task!

Nah, he most likely clicked in the "Replies" column for this thread on the thread-list page.

Click that for any thread, and you can see who responded, and how many times. :)

Btw, I want you all to know that I AM still getting SG every month, and am still loving it like crazy! I may not be very vocal about it, but I DO keep up on the title and this thread. Both are always fun to read. :)

Here's to 100 Pages and 100 Issues!

Wow. I've posted in this thread fourteen times. Nice.

Lets make this bad boy number fifteen!

Read Spider-Girl # 89 today and it was a very excellent issue. Definitely an issue that needs addressed...especially to the younger females who read this title.

Moose was pretty bad ass there.

Anybody else notice that "Howard Kavanaugh" name? Considering Tom Defalco writes this book. Back in the 90's Tom D. worked alongside HOWARD Mackie and Terry KAVANAUGH on the Spider books. Howard Mackie wrote Spider-Man and Terry Kavanaugh wrote Web Of Spider-Man. Maybe it was a little poke at the two. Tom Defalco is always doing crap like that.

You can do THAT??!!!????

;)

Only 2 more posts to go....

I'll give the honors to someone else.

Spider-Girl rocks!!!

Buy Marvel Team-Up.

:)

Wow! I can't believe that you went through the trouble of listing all the posters! That was definitely cool! Again, i wanna thank you guys', because without you all- this thread would be crap! But just like a certain female comic book character will all seem to love, this thread will continue to live on, and with that, new readers will enter in as well!! Here's for 100- and BEYOND!!
