Comics Doesn't anyone else read Spider-Girl??

The window of opprutunity is still open for all to come on in, BobaFett! Oh, and welcome to Spider-Girl Hype!

Hey Blaque, the review for issue 77 is up at Spidermancrawlspace.com if you want to know.

i loved the newest issue it was awsome. it was the first thing i read in the comic shop. as i was leaving i noticed that there were new rare comics on display and one of them was What If 105 for $6.00 when i took it to the counter because i am a regular i got it for $5.00. there was this loon there raving about the latin spider-girl. as i walked to the registar i showed him who the only and true Spider-Girl is, May "Mayday" Parker.

Pretty decent issue, all around. I was kind of hoping to see BT kill Kaine, but he DID give SG his word...

I liked it a lot. Just when you thought the Black Tarantula's thing for May couldn't get any creepier or weirder...

But the ears on that female goblin costume ... I Tom and Ron provide a good explanation for those next issue. Those things just look goofy.

I like Kaine...

It was a good issue but Tarantula is creeping me out....poor little May has her very own Supervillain Stalker now...

BT's thing for May is gross...I wonder what his reaction would be if he knew how old she was...

I just got issue 78 today. Wow! That was a great issue. One of the best for a long time, and I'll take that into consideration when I review it. I'm wondering what BT's connection is with DeJunae though. She's certainly a mystery woman.

He's ok. Might be nice to shake things up a bit, though.

I'd like to see more Darkdevil. Not just a page here and there. An honest team-up, where we saw more of him in action with Mayday.

I doubt he'd care. He's looking at May mostly for breeding purposes.

I know how May can get rid of the Tarantula..she just has to pretend to do something dishonorable....... :D

78 was a very good issue, and a great conclusion to the long running arc. Black Tarantula is one of the better Spider-Girl vililans, and i'm anticipating the fight when it finally happens.

I finally, finally, finally managed to pick up as issue. Since my comic book store has NOW decided to carry it. And I bought and read and WOW. I assumed May was going to be really lame and stupid and almost over the top, but she was kinda, cool and very likeable. Plus there's the Osborn kid (Harry's son right?) Looks just like his Dad. I'd want to read more, just for the Osborn side of it. What are good issues to get with the kid?

Shame on you, Vanessa. Imagine a Harry fan not knowing that his son's name is Normie ;).

Hey gang, sorry i've been away from the boards as long as i have, but school is back in session, and not to mention my job...so i've been very busy lately! But as always, its' such a treat to see this thread on the top of the page when i come back from being gone for a while, not to mention reading comments from new posters' as well! Glad to see that people are starting to give Spider-Girl a try, and that they've been enjoying what they've read too! I'm very behind right now on Spider-Girl, so i'll be picking up the pace this weekend so i too can post what i enjoyed! I wonder if Hobby has posted since, i'm sure he's glad that this issue rocked in light of his feelings for the book and all. Who knows, maybe we'll get a surprise post from the "Merc with Mouth".....

Side-Kick?? All that hard work, and i've been reduced to a "Side-Kick" again? I like what they've done with the place, but what's up with the downgrade in my status?? Malice, you're fired! Jeffers, you're hired! (LOL!)

Hey, I finally picked up issues #56 & 59 (the last 2 missing to complete my collection), so I can finally start reading this book again.

:)

Glad to have you back on board Themanofbat! Did you also grab the latest issue along with those back issues? If not, you're in for a treat!

Yes, I was picking up all the current issues when I received the first 55 issues through e-bay last year... I started around issue 64 or 65, so I was missing about 10 books, and they were kind of difficult to find (reasonably priced).

So now I have issues 0 to current.... :)

Eh? I knew his name. Harry has no shame and would NAME his own kid after his bastard father. But I wasn't sure if it was Normie or just Norman. I mean, Normie? Please tell me it's a nickname.

*nods* Yeah, it's just a nick.

First of all, pick up the digest. Normie appears as the Goblin in the very first story.

He makes another appearance sometime around issue 20 or so. I'm sorry for not looking it up. Great story, though. He tries to kidnap Mary Jane and that doesn't go as well as he planned.

The pivotal issue is No. 27 (in my opinion, the best Spider-Girl issue) where Normie has Spider-Girl, who has lost her powers, tied to a chair the entire issue and threatens to end the Parker-Osborne feud. And he does, just not how he expected.

After that Normie is pretty much a regular supporting character. Mayday has a thing for him, but he's too old for her. He's also in love with Brenda Drago, AKA Raptor (another reformed villain). This "wife" popped up a few issues ago.
