Comics Doesn't anyone else read Spider-Girl??

You know Blaque - you should release some kind of dictionary for your lingo. I'd love to learn more! ;.)

Anyway... As always, I'm one issue behind you guys. Shipping and all that. Haven't had much time to think about comics as of late, but I hope to get more free time as we approach Christmas. Just wanted to say hi, for those of you that still remember me. I was here when this thread was orginally started, but I've been drifting in and out for the last two years (Oh my, has it really been that long?). I still stop by every now and then, to see what you guys have cocking but I don't always have time to comment (and more often than not you guys already said it all and so I just sit it out).

Just like to say that I'm still reading SG and that I'm still around.

Love,
TW
T.W.- of course we remember you, but i'm glad that you were able to drop us a line to tell us that you're doing fine! By the way, hows the music coming along? Anyway, stay up, and we'll keep representing you and all the Spider-Girl fans! Take care bro.

Did anyone post the WWTX news about Spider-Girl being in no danger of being cancelled?

If they did already... sorry... but its worth repeating right?
That's EXCELLENT news Hobby! I'll go to the SGMB to see if anyone there has heard of this before we go and broadcast it to everyone here, so without further delay- GHOST!!

Hi , I ve colected about 23 issues of Spidergirl but stopped a couple a months ago. I m now gonna re subscribe to one of a couple of comics but cant decide which one. Spidergirl , Mystique , or Captain America. Anyone convince me of SG ( I havent seen anything from issue 77 - 80 so rt would be nice.)

Some really minor spoilers -- Black Tarantula's gone and things are quickly heading back to what they were like before he showed up. Since #79 there's been more about the Osborn legacy, and future issues (going by the covers over on Marvel.com) are going to feature Electro's daughter and Venom.

Just came back from the Shop and bought the comic , I bought

Spidergirl issue 80! Looks like I might stick with it. I got a standing order. - dets Gr8!

Who do you think would win a fight, Spider-Girl or Jessica Drew in her prime? Jessica is stronger than May (I read that she can bench 7 tons as opposed to 5 tons for May) but I think May would still take her down.

I forgot about this before, but Jessica generates pheromones that attract men and repulse women.

Spiderwoman - She hasnt only got those powers shes got more. Def JD

I know that she has those bioelectric blasts but she can't use them that much at once (Mayday can dodge those with her Spider sense). I don't think Spidey was immune to them (I can't remember for sure if he ever got zapped by them..I don't have the first comic where they met anymore). She can also glide on the special wings in her costume.

I still think May would win the fight! JD doesn't have the spider sense, plus I bet May would be faster. Also May has the intangible "more spunky" advantage.

and spider-man's gene's ;)

Even in her prime back in her original '70s series, JD's been shot, blasted, beaten unconscious and kidnapped ... all from the back or from bad guys sneaking up on her. Mayday's spider-sense would zero in on Jessica's blind side, and exploit it. Mayday might be able to dodge JD's "venom blasts" if there's enough space between them. And Mayday's faced opponents who were physically stronger than her before, so strength wouldn't factor much into that fight.

But Spider-Girl has had rotten luck with flying opponents who had room to manuever. If Jessica could take to the sky and away from any buildings, Spider-Girl might be in trouble. But in close quarter combat, I'd give the edge to Mayday.

I am sure this has been talked about before but will Peter and May ever find out who Darkdevil really is? And will May ever find out who Kaine really is?

Awesome! Welcome aboard and enjoy the ride.

i would say May for all the previously stated reasons and even more so because of her latest improvements in fighting style.

Obviously i want to say that May would win, BUT this is the orignal Spider-Woman we're talking about, and new fighting styles or not, it would take a little more than that for May to defeat Jessica. As someone stated earlier, just Jessica's ability to fly alone will expose May's weak points being that she's never defended aireial attacks well, but i think the ace up her sleeve would have to be her ability to cling, and repel objects. If used in the right situation, and at the right time, could be very pivitol in May's chances of victory. But if Spider-Woman uses her expierence, and uses her powers to her advantage, she could overwhelm Spider-Girl- thereby winning based on her out thinking May. Overall, if i had to choose a clear winner, it'd be May just edging Jessica.

The digest comes out December 1st? D'oh! I was thinking last week for some reason.

Hey, the Spider-Man II DVD comes out the day before. It's going to be a cool week next week. :)

Nov. 17 was the date Marvel had on its Web site (and I think it still does). But it wasn't on Diamond's ship list until Dec. 1.

So there you go.
