I want to see Will outsmart Hannibal from his cell, the way we know Hannibal has outsmarted others from his cell in the mythos. In the books, Will Graham is almost like Hannibal's only equal, the one who caught him. I love the speech in Red Dragon from Hannibal where he asks Will of he thinks he's smarter than Hannibal.

It's going to be a long long wait until next season so we can find out. :(

God damn, yet again an amazing episode, the whole last scene is such a great way to cap off this season, it's truly a privilege seeing this show comes so well together with just every aspects fits so perfectly, it's going to be a long wait until the second season.

Do we know when it comes back?

It's staying in midseason so I'm assuming roughly the same time (April wasn't it?) next year.

It is good to see it acquire some additional critical recognition.

Lets hope the Emmys pays them the same sort of attention...

:csad: They won't...

Just watched the season final, great ending. When Fuller said it would end on a twist, what we got is not at all in the realm of possibilities I was expecting. Very well done, can't wait for season 2.

I don't understand how they are going to do next season. If he gets out then Hannibal will be exposed because exposing Hannibal is the only way he gets out. Its too early for that. We can't have a whole season of Will behind bars either.

lol just now? Not the first episode where he called ahead to warn a serial killer that we'd been found out, allowing him to kill his wife and attempt to do the same to his daughter? Or... plenty of times since then? :funny:

This is definitely the first time I've hated him though. It's easy to root for the villain in this type of show but the way he just completely set will up and manipulated everyone has me against him from here on out.

Season two would be Will trying to gather proof.

How's he going to do that from behind bars tho? He's in a prison for the criminally insane and is mentally unstable so he won't get bail. So any proof would have to be gathered by someone else and that would still leave our protagonist with very little to do. And with the evidence there is no way he is gonna be cleared of the charges. I just hope he isn't released on some cheap technicality.

Jack will be on the prowl as well, Fuller said that the Jack Crawford character will be getting more involved next season.

I guess without escaping, he'll have to orchestrate his quest in much the same way Hannibal has been known to manipulate events and people from behind bars. Between his lawyer and at least one ally on the outside (Alana Bloom, probably) Will could use his smarts to prove his innocence, if not Hannibal's guilt. My hope is Will won't be in prison for more than half the season, getting out and spending the second half working to take Hannibal down.

In any case, it's all very intriguing.

I really wanna know exactly how Hannibal makes people swallow their tongues. I want a scene of that damn it!

^ I don't even know how he'd be able to accomplish something like that...

Anyway, I know it's me getting ahead of myself and for a show with as un-spectacular ratings as this one has, it's probably dangerous territory to get into, but... casting suggestions for future characters? Dolarhyde, in particular?

I don't know why I keep thinking of Jim Caviesel as Dollarhyde. I'm trying to think of some others but I keep coming back to him. Dollarhyde has to be somebody like how Trinity was to Dexter, needs to be a slightly unexpected casting that turns out amazing. Or what about Matthew Fox as Dollarhyde. I'm just spitballing here, throwing stuff at the wall, see what sticks. What's dude's name who played Danko on Heroes and the Magistrate on True Blood (And so much else lol)? Zjelko Ivanek? Something like that, he was Verger's butler, forget his name. He should play somebody on here, he's ****ing amazing. I'm gonna keep thinking about this plus, we have the Verger twins to think of and I'm sorry but Brienne of Tarth would be ****ing PERFECT for Margot Verger, you know this to be true ;)

 for Gwendoline Christie as Margot.

Dolarhyde is an interesting case. I mean it depends if they're going for book accuracy or not but the guy was described as fairly ripped from his weightlifting obsession so that's a factor too.
