I really can't wait to see what Mikkelsen does with Lecter. Hopkins was so iconic that he's gonna have a rough time making it his own. Although I will say he looks the part. It's extremely creepy just seeing those brief clips.

Yea Lecter would kill Dexter, IMO.

I don't think so. I think he'd enjoy Dexter a lot. He'd definitely look down on Dexter, and he'd be offended that Dexter would think he's better than him, but I think he'd enjoy getting into Dexter's head too much to want to kill him.

He'd definitely beat Dexter, though. No question about that, he'd outsmart him and walk off into the sunset.

any time i look at hopkins nowadays all i can think of is him as lecter. it doesn't even matter what movie it is, even when he played odin in thor i still thought of lecter. it's something i don't think he'll ever escape, lol.

but it's not like he's the end all be all of lecters, much like nicholson or ledger aren't the end all be all of jokers. brian cox did a very good job with the role, and that gaspard ukulele or whatever kid .... umm.... i'm not gonna get into that right now, lol.

but mikkelsen looks verrrry promising, and we already know he does a great job at playing the " villain " . i really like that part in the full length trailer where he's sitting next to the woman. " you've been terribly rude... what's to be done about that ? "

i was always curious to see what paul bettany would've been like in the role , even though it'd probably never happen, lol. but he definitely deserves more recognition, that one.

I thought Jared Harris had a Lecter vibe as Professor Moriarty in Sherlock Holmes 2 with Downey.

I could see John Malkovich as a similar kind of character.

malkovich i could definitely get into, although to me he seems more like a mason verger type. idunno why.


actually now that i think about it, if malkovich played lecter i don't think it'd be too far off from what brian cox was like in the role.

I don't think I've ever been this anticipatory of an upcoming tv series before.

It's mostly movies I get excited about.

Totally gonna check this out though. Hope it sticks around for a while and lives up to the promos.
