I'm really hoping they give us end game DLC. I want to see Hawke and Merrill on the run in the wilderness.

If we see something like that - which I don't think we will, based on what Laidlaw has said about their DLC intentions for DA2 - it probably won't be until the last DLC.

No, they never say he was blood mage, but judging from how Bioware made pretty much every mage a blood mage in DAII, sure, sure why not.

Hawke's father was used to use Blood Magic once in his life because the Grey Wardens threathened to kill Leandra if he didn't cast a binding spell, but otherwise Papa Hawke taught Bethany and Mage Hawke to never allow magic control you and so forth.

Yeah, in Legacy you learn more about Malcolm Hawke, Grey Wardens, the Blight and Hurlocks. It's a pretty awesome DLC if you ask me personally.

when's the best time during the main campaign to start Legacy??

I've heard others say that end of Act 2 or early Act 3 are the best times.......

also, if Hawke is a mage, does that make the story or dialogue in Legacy even more personal??

Eh theres multiple ways to do Legacy from any Act, they all provide something to the table as X character might be alive or Y character has joined a certain faction. endgame Act 3 would be best gear wise, but story wise you can enjoy it in multiple ways.

Hawke Mage and Carver is very personal if you ask me, much more so than Bethany learning about Malcolm. Companion wise take your sibling, Anders and Varric.

oh.......and I just started the game again on my PS3. I have the Black Emporium DLC downloaded and installed, yet I can't summon my Mabari Warhound.

In the past, the dog would automatically appear when I start the game. Or else, I'd bring up the wheel and find him under the Sustained Spells/Abilities area. My Hawke would also have an extra talent/spell tree for the dog.

this time, though, the dog's not under the Sustained Spells/Abilities, and my Hawke doesn't have that extra talent tree.

is this a glitch??

has anyone else experienced this?

should I just delete this character and restart?

I want Cassandra as a party member in DA3......lol

I think theres a good chance she will play a role in DA3, maybe even as a Companion, i'd atleast think she would. Also i don't know how to solve your PS3 issue, sorry!

Yeah, not sure what to tell you about that, Raven, other than to suggest you go to the BioWare forums and check out the DA2 PS3 Tech Support forum to see if it's a recognized glitch with any solution.

Could be a licensing issue with the DLC.

yeah......I think my PS3 issue was just a glitch with that particular character file.

I created a new character, and the dog appeared like it should.

so, I think it was just isolated to that file ( hopefully ). I'll test it out by creating other new characters.

Update:

Created a few more characters, and the dog showed up just fine for them. So, I think my issue was just a glitch with that one save file ( thakfully ).

I'm looking to build a 2h warrior. what are the best Greatswords for a 2h warrior, stat wise, by Act.

it seems the "best" swords like Celebrant and Blade of Mercy are in Act 3. but, in Acts 1 and 2, what are usually the best swords to use, stat wise?

If you have the DLC pack, then the best two-handed swords should probably come from that as soon as you can equip them. Or the two-handed swords that I think came with the purchase of the game. The weapon you get from Legacy should usually be better than anything you can purchase or get elsewhere, at least for a few levels, depending on the level you get it at.

ok, finally got to see what the Empress's Point greatsword looks like on a Youtube vid.

man.......that thing looks sweet!! kind of reminds me of the Quanari Saw Swords from Origins. I think it will compliment my "dark knight" reaver/beserker warrior.

btw......have they said if we will be getting new weapons in the Mark of Assassin DLC?

I wouldn't be too surprised if we get a new set of armour and weapons and rings and so forth from the DLC. Here's more screenshots and little info on Mark of the Assassin, also this DLC is our first taste of Orlesian architechture, so we can get an possible early taste for DA3 maybe? I would really assume we'd atleast visit Orlais, but who knows, but you get the idea with big fortress, banners up and Lion statues.

I really want DA3 to take place in Orlais. and I want the protagonist to be an Orlesian royal/noble. or at least have that as one of the Origins, if they go that route again.

I want to be a warrior-mage Orlesian prince/princess!!
