Animation Dragonball HQ - Part 1

Loved how the ending pretty much threw all the theories for Black out the window. I cant wait to see how this plays cuz I gave up predicting the future episodes ago....

Me reading predictions about Black:

So, I watched the latest Episode. There's only one thing I have to say about it.

Yeah that episode was a mess.

I really hate how Goku has turned out in Super. Yes, it's funny when Goku sometimes is a bit clueless, acts childlike or as a kid didn't know about the concept of marriage. But it feels like they dialed it up to 11 in Super. And unfortunately none of it is actually funny. And Episode 60 revealed a pretty implausible fact about Chi-Chi's and Goku's marriage.

Goku, who is old enough to have his very own grand kid, never actually kissed his wife.

Every time this series answers a question it raises several more! This Zamasu/Black storyline keeps getting better and better.

I kind of want this storyline to be over already, getting bored of it. I at least hope it ends with Trunks getting the Super DBs and wishing everyone from his timeline back to life.

Never understood why he never just went to the new Namek to use their DBs. I mean, King Kai could have informed him of them.

I don't think that would even be possible for them to do. They'd have to travel between 2 universes to collect the whole set. Plus they're planet sized, and they lack the means to gather and collect them in one place.

Never understood why he never just went to the new Namek to use their DBs. I mean, King Kai could have informed him of them.

I would say it's a miracle that Bulma even managed to build a time machine, with the lab materials she had left. Building another functioning space ship might have been impossible. So yeah, there really was no realistic way for them to ever reach planet Namek, even with King Kai's information.

But now that Goku is there, I hope that he'll be able to teleport to planet Namek, and explain the situation to them. Trunks might not be able to bring all the fallen Z fighters back, but he could get all the humans back that were killed by Zamasu and restore all the cities.

And power levels in Super continue to be bull****.

I'm sorry but that was awesome.

Power levels have never mattered in the franchise. Enjoyed the awesomeness and the darkest episode yet! Trunks just had his "Gohan SSJ2" moment.

While power levels were always nonsense in the franchise, Super takes it to a whole new level. It's difficult to enjoy the fights when you know that even SSJ3 isn't hot **** anymore, and they introduced God Ki, that puts these character on a whole new level, and yet Trunks with his mere SSJ2 level still manages to somehow keep up. What's even the point of God Ki then?

What has me actually confused is the mixture of both time travel (actually affecting the past/future), timeline travel (what Trunks does which is pretty simple in itself as you "only" make a new world) and multiple universes.

Actually, it reminds me of Flash's last season in that aspect in the sense that they don't seem to keep them consistent.

Trunks hasn't really been keeping up with anyone at SSJBlue levels though. Zamasu was bested by SSJ2 Goku, and Black has only just reached Blue levels himself since fighting Goku. But Super has very intentionally introduced a major power creep to the basic SSJ form. It's been established that if trained properly Goku at SSJ1 would be more powerful than SSJ3, which causes far too much drain on his body.

Shueisha Establishes New Department Focused on Dragon Ball

Japanese publisher Shueisha announced during a "new publications project presentation" in Tokyo on Wednesday that it had created a new department called the "Dragon Ball Room" in June that focuses specifically on Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball property. Akio Iyoku, the editor-in-chief of Shueisha's V Jump magazine (where Toriyama and Toyotarō's Dragon Ball Super manga is currently serialized), is heading the new department.

The department is working to provide new ideas for content for Dragon Ball, and to optimize and expand the brand. Iyoku commented that the department is "only thinking about Dragon Ball."

Dragon Ball creator Toriyama commented on the new department, saying that the team was one he could put his trust in. He joked, "It's really great that I don't have to do anything now."

Toriyama's Dragon Ball manga ran in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1984 to 1995. The manga has sold over 240 million copies. The manga has inspired an entire media franchise that consists of a long-running television anime adaptation, multiple anime films, video games, and more. A new television anime titled Dragon Ball Super premiered in Japan in July 2015. The anime is the first new television anime in the franchise in 18 years

Expect a lot more DB content coming in the future!

They've been showing that since the Cell Games. Goku and Gohan stayed SS for weeks and it did nothing but make them stronger. Meanwhile Vegeta beat the hell out of himself in training the whole time and didn't make anywhere near the leaps and bound those two did. He really only started getting stronger as fast as Goku once he started training alongside him.

Gohan needs to work the **** out. I mean ****! He went from being more powerful than SS3 without trying to barely being able to hit SS. Dude can take a vacation for a few months and train. If Freeza can do it, then so can Gohan. :o

I really like Gohan in the Multiverse Manga. He's become a scholar, but he also keeps in shape and hasn't lost much or any of his powers at all. He just doesn't train as crazy anymore.

It didn't make them stronger, it acclimatised their bodies to the SSJ form so that they had more control and didn't waste energy powering up. What Toriyama has introduced now is very different. Now he's making SSJ3 superfluous, because with the training he's having now, Goku would be more powerful at SSJ1 than he would at SSJ3. I think this is obviously also why they never go beyond SSJ1 to use God ki for SSJBlue.

This is one of the reasons why I like Vegeta's character development post DBZ. He's not a loner anymore just out for himself and beating Goku, and it's actually made him stronger for it. There's some very intentional irony here.

Still no word on the English dub?

As per the most recent thing I could find. Basically, "Should be out by the end of August."

How about the fact that Goten still looks like he's six years old and hasn't grown at all? I mean in DBZ, he was the youngest freaking Super Saiyan ever. He reached Super Saiyan before Trunks, who has to be at least a year older.

Shouldn't Goten be more badass than Gohan was at this point? Considering Chi-Chi actually allowed him to train and taught him how to fight, which helped him unleash his Saiyan powers early.

I think the thing about Goku not knowing what kissing is is stupid. Look, I get it. Goku is a bit of a dim-witted country bumpkin. He lived such a sheltered life, he didn't understand Bulma not having male genitalia, and he thought marriage was a type of food.

But c'mon he's like 40 at this point. He has two kids and a grandkid. He's probably been married over 20 years, yes he freaking knows what kissing is. Otherwise, he truly is as stupid as TFS parodies and thinks Chi-Chi is just the nice lady who lives in his house. Probably goes through other means to get the babies.

A lot of people called that would be how they'd try and beat Black and Zamasu. I don't think it'll ultimately work though.

Episode 62 of Dragon Ball Super. Power levels continue to be bull****. I wouldn't have such a problem with it, had they not introduced God Ki into the series. [BLACKOUT]A pissed off Trunks is doing a better job against both Zamasu's, than Vegeta and Goku, who both trained like insane to get their new powers.[/BLACKOUT]
