So where exactly did I mist the point?
lol alright.
first of all, 1. I am not great at putting my tone, and thoughts into words, I will admit that. 2. I probably was having a bad day.
But the point you seemed to miss, what I was talking about, (poor wording on my part, sorry) is that it wasn't meant to be an aggressive, insulting post, at all. I wasn't putting down you, or anyone who has that opinion. My intention was to strongly stress my thought that I think more of us should be giving him the benefit of the doubt. If it came off aggressively, or like I was putting people down for thinking that, then I am sorry, that was not my intention. that is my fault for wording my post poorly. and for that, I appologize, good sir.
Ultimately I have faith in them as well. That being said, I think people are allowed to express skepticism about Bautista without being thrown under the bus and denigrated cause they aren't casting and what not.
Now generally yes, Marvel has done a very good and inspired job with casting in these pictures.
Casting complete unknowns in Hemsworth and Hiddleston turned out to be brilliant moves that paid dividends. Hemsworth is like a big star now. Hiddleston steals every scene he is in.
So I mean, am I a bit befuddled and weirded out by the Bautista casting. Yes. But ultimately I'm still excited about this movie and I want to see this movie. Drax isn't even one of my personal favorites so I don't really care all that much who plays him at the end of the day. I really just want to see Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon tearing it up onscreen.
I am excited for Drax. and again, throwing people under the bus, and putting down opinions was not my intention, so I am sorry if it came off that way. As I have said many times in the past, I have trouble expressing strong thoughts into written messages, I always have. Like, no excuse. I used to get help for it in school when I was younger. But I had no aggressive, or insulting intent when writing that post, so I am sorry for making it seem that way. I coulda chose better words.
But back to bautista, I'm not gunna lie, I am certainly quite nervous for this movie now, I feel the same way you do. I am questioning how he can pull off Drax. Based on what I've seen from him in his brief acting career, It doesn't seem like he can pull it off. However, as I was saying, I didnt see his audition, Marvel has been good so far, so for those reasons I am just gunna give him the benefit of the doubt. We'll see how he does.
As far as I am concerned, this is Thanos' movie. It's not. But that's how I am seeing it. That's probably 90% of my excitement for this movie, and I am pissing myself right now cause of the nerves of him being casted
