My stance on all actors is if they truly screen test better than anyone else for the role, then they should get the role. If Momoa's screen test was truly great, I don't begrudge him the role.

If they truly were getting it for being the best actor of the group? 100%. I just don't see it happening 99 times out of 100 for purely acting reasons.

I'll watch this for Mamoa. I think that guy is a real talent and given the right script/direction he can be amazing.

While the movie itself was bad Mamoa was Robert E Howard's Conan come to life, and need I mention Drogo?
