The Dark Knight Rises Dressing Up in Costume for Opening Night?

I dressed as Joker for the midnight of TDK. I don't think I'll be dressing up for this one.
Come on, don't leave me high and dry! :csad:

I've never been to a midnight screening - no, not even TDK since I was at the viral pre-screening mere days before and I needed more time to process it. TDKR will likely be my first so I figure why not just go all the way? :awesome:

I think if I dressed up, I'd be the only one there and would feel like a dork. So no.
Erm, I don't think anyone would call me a dork if I went to see the movie in skin-tight pants and stripper heels. :o

And you know, it'll be the midnight premiere, so everyone attending will pretty much have to be a dork. Or total losers who are staying up until 3am to watch a movie they only kinda sorta want to see. :oldrazz:

You're right. Just a ****e. :o

Word of advice: don't prolong your stay outdoors if you plan to wear the catsuit at 3 AM. Batman won't be there to save you.

That would actually be HILARIOUS. :lmao: No seriously, I would laugh in someone's face if they called me that just because of what I wore to a movie premiere featuring someone who dressed similarly. :o

Don't worry, I'm planning on dragging my bf to protect me. And well, he wouldn't want to miss me wearing such a getup. :awesome:

Plus I have a very high kick and strong legs. :o

Well, I think most people who will be going to the midnight premiere where I live will be in the 'loser' category. I'm still not going to risk it :p

I'll go dressed up as a Willy Wonka-esque Riddler, and then when the film starts I'll scream out- "Awwww c'mon Nolan, where's the love for Johnny Depp?!"

Then as a twist, right before the third act I'll come out with a Liam Neeson beard and deliver a long monologue on revenge and immortality before burning down the theater.

For years I've had plans of making a batsuit, mostly using motorcycle gear. I've started working recently, so I can probably have it complete by July. It'll be winter here, so I'm not concerned about passing out.

There's always the UD Replicas Motorcycle suit. All you'd need is a cape and a cowl ... and a motorcycle. Heh. I always thought it was a bit extreme. They have a Batman Begins version as well, which is also a bit extreme.

There's a "Smallville"-like Batman motorcycle jacket that's a bit more subtle, and that I like quite a bit better.

I'll be rocking my...

"I BELIEVE IN HARVEY DENT"

tee.

I'm dressing up as Thor.

In all seriousness. I work at the largest and biggest theater in Copenhagen, called "IMPERIAL". It's the most prestige theater in all of Denmark, and we're always cooking up HUGE events and special arrangements for big BIG releases. I already know that for "TDKR" On the midnight-world premier we'll have, the whole theater will be covered, wall-to-wall, with black carpeting! Even the popcorn-cardboards and soda-canisters, will be all black with tiny Bat-logos on them. There will be Lightshows displaying the batlogo, sligthing across the ceilings. Of course posters will be all over the place, including bathrooms, with badass backlighting. Memorable lines from the two previous movies will be displayed in large writtens on walls and all around (including bathroom mirrors). Believe it or not, but even the freaken toilet paper will be black! :-) Hot chicks will go around, serving a little glass of "champagne" (or something with bubbles), wearing tight black clothing (and not too much of it either), with the batlogo on their chest. Some will more than likely be wearing cat-ears :-) T-shirts and stuff will be sold as well. There will even be a cool batman quizz inside the theater before the movies starts, and the one sitting in just the right seat, will be given big prizes. Last time we did something that massive was for "EPISODE III". The media will also be there, filming the pre-events inside, and also on the BLACK carpet outside - where torches will be placed on each sides all the way up to the entrance. It's gonna be massive!!!

I don't know how it is in the US, but this gigantic A-class theater only runs ONE movie at a time, and always the biggest movie. Seeing how there's also only one huge screen (theater room) in this cinema, it's always reserved for one movie playing, over and over again, until ticket sales drops big, or the next big thing arrives.

To honor Nolan and his amazing work with the Batman Legacy, I will DEFINITELY be dressing up in the nicest black suit! Tie and everything. I can't wait for that night! :-)

Eh... I thought about it once. But then remembered that I'd rather be comfortable than geek-cool at a movie.

also - The theater has already confirmed with me that they're showing Begins / TDK double feature leading up the midnight showing of TDKR and I really don't feel like sitting in a movie theater for 9 hours with leather on.

Bat-emblem tee? yes.

Bat-hot-as-oven costume? no.

Work in a theatre, Will have to be working at midnight that night, hopefully we'll get to see it the day before release or something, unless the reel is coded or whatever :(.

I'm going to dress up as Spiderman for the TDKR midnight showing.

Does it have an Imax screen? Or at least, the Denmark exact-equivalent of an Imax screen?

If it doesn't, I suggest changing theaters.
