not in the case of TV series. Plus that only applies to Widescreen and than Widescreen Special editioins of movies

A DP/Metropolis shot?

Well that's.... very interesting.

hhhmmmmmm ?????? Could this BlueRay set have the famos clip to the rumord Metropolis series?

Tvshowsondvd.com is reporting that the new cover was a early slip of a special edition that will be released to an exclusive retailer with some extra stuff from the regular release. It will be for DVD and Bluray, not just Bluray.

They haven't been told which retailer will be carrying this special edition though. My guess will be Best Buy, as they usually get the exclusive stuff like this. If so, I'll be buying it from them for the extra material.

the extra material will find its way to youtube so I'm not too worried about getting it. I'll wait for the price to drop to $20 and then I'll get the dvd

they don't even start shooting the 9th season until next week, how could they already have clips from the rumored Metropolis movie? (It's a movie or a direct to DVD release, not a series, at least I don't think that's how the rumor was going).

yea thats trip trip season 9 starts up monday if i recall right and they run through march/april 2010 for the end of the series. If this metropolis dtv/telemovie happens its likely wont be filming to july 2010 for like a few weeks and all that.

Well, I think it would take more than a few weeks to film, but yeah... Won't see any clips from that for at a least a year.

its too bad they didnt keep blooper reel on the dvd sets, i believe it was reported many times tom and michael were the pratical jokers on set.

I hate when they put extra stuff on Blu Ray, just add another DVD dammit.
