DVD/Box Set Discussion

I am finally going to get an ipod for a belated birthday gift at the end of the month when my mom gets some cash.

Well.... I didnt hate the episode Power, like some did but I dont care for Allison Mack AT ALL.

She is everything that Tom isnt, and probably is the reason why she said Yes to doing it rather than him.

It does make me insanely jealous though, that I dont get to hear my favourite actor/director's point of view. :cmad:

I've already got the set on order with Amazon, and its current price is about $37.00 and they guarantee that if they drop the price before they deliver that you will get the cheapest price on offer.

What's wrong with AM? I personally don't care much for Chloe, but I have nothing against AM as a person. She seems like a good person.

I have prefered chloe for yrs over lana for example. Though i do see why and understand reasons some fans have for hating her. I do agree at times since she learned the truth on clark they used her to help clark out way to much, something that was done alot better this past season, and to dumb down clark too which was another bad thing. As for storylines i have liked most of her storylines over the yrs and really only thing this past season i didnt really like all that much was the whole love thing with davis when they had the whole chloe-Henry(Jimmy) relationship.

I still haven't bought Season 7. And will be in no rush to get this. Just can't justify dropping $40-$50 for half-assed box sets. Man, I remember jonesing for Season 1 on DVD way back when (I believe they didn't release Season One for two years after the season aired!) Now, Smallville, though it's still my fave show, warts and all, is the worst-produced DVD box set on the market supplemental-wise. Boo.

The only thing I'm looking forward to on this is geoff johns' commentary

oh not interested on deleted scenes some times there is some good deleted stuff.

Only think I am curious about is what he has to say on the Irma ass kissing sessions with Lana

clark and lois in the daily planet and the title of the show is smallville.

something is not right :hehe:

Yea when the cover was revealed awhile ago i agreed great looking cover, better then some of the past season ones.

What's wrong with AM you ask? Well, to be honest, I think its my dislike of AM so much that makes me dislike Chloe as much as I do.

I used to read her blog, and I've read all of her interviews, listened to her DVD commentaries, watched her face to face interviews and in my opinion, she has an ego bigger than Texas and the head to match. No other actor on the show comes across as a Me! Me! Me! person more than she does ... and I just don't care for those kind of people in RL or Fanlife AT ALL.

:)

I agree its pretty crappy. I just recently bought Season 7 of Scrubs and they have commentary for every episode. My son collects all the Stargate Box sets and they also have commentary for every episode, why its beyond Smallville in doing more than 2.... I'll never understand. :(

Lol her blogs sort of seem out there I will admit, although they don't scream to me she has a big ego

Best cover since Season 1.

I dont know, I thought seasons 2 and 5 were pretty good. I'd like this one better, if not for the fact that Lois has already had two covers and Chloe has had a grand total of zero, yet she's been on the show twice as long. :csad:

chloe annoyed me this season much more than previous ones. glad she's not on the cover...

I agree. I actually saw her at Comic Con last year and found her ego to be a bit too large for my taste. She kept putting on this fake smile and giving answers that were so rehearsed. She never once came across as genuine, at least from my point of view but everyone's going to differ.

I've disliked her character from the first time I laid eyes on her.

Well pretty much the show's name is just in name only lol. and lois calling clark smallville still too.

S8 DVDs to be released Aug. 25th.

Kudos to Allison for making the "featurette" but I am beyond disappointed that it isn't Tom instead. :(

Yeah I dunno if it his choice or not but he is usually nowhere to be found in DVD bonus features in general throughout the years.

Shame because some of my faves were the season 2 commentaries he did.

Yea it was pretty much season 2/3 was the last time tom had anything to do with bonus stuff on the dvds, or heck doing interviews for the show. But its widely know he likes to keep private off set.

How is it not his choice? Don't you think Warner would want to feature their star on their DVDs?

Yeah, as much as I adore Tom Welling, it does make me a little crazy that he doesn't want to put himself out there and do publicity in any way, shape or form for the DVDs.

He even stopped doing interviews for the Smallville Magazine, no wonder they're going to stop production.
