Billy Ray Cyrus in Doc, Tim McGraw in Friday Night Lights, Dwight Yoakam in Sling Blade.

Rappers too, for the most part.

Do we know why?

BECAUSE THEY ARE PHONIES WHO TOOK ACTING IN ORDER TO PORTRAY THEIR GENRES WELL! Half of these rappers and country starts aren't thugs or cowboys, just middle-class from sort-of-rough-ish-looking suburbs in whatever respective part of the country they are supposed to portray, be it Queens or Texas.

But yeah, Yoakam is cool.
