I´m here, so, it´s time for for a reality check
It was better than i was hoping for (i was expecting an F or D), it wasn´t a good press conference (i give it a C), and it was boring as hell (too many games in too little time).
The multiplatform side of the presser was by far the best, all games were great (CoD, Tomb Raider, Mass Effect 3) minus Ghost Recon (not that it was bad, but it was all Kinect customization, not game itself).
And then we arrived to the exclusives....
Bing, YouTube, Live TV..sure, those are good features, so, no wrong there.
UFC app....well, it´s the same as ESPN, so, if you like it, go for it.
Gears of War 3, great game but the demo was not all that, and the all Ice T making a music for the game....who the f**k cares?
Ryse.... i don´t get why you guys are saying it looks great?
Is because is Crytek? Is because of the graphics?
There was nothing on that video that made anyone go wow, it´s an on-rails melle game, nothing more. Sure it can be great, but it´s one of those games that you can only decide after you actually get your hands on.
Halo CE Anniversary was...ridiculous, what a bad trailer.
How can a company treat their title flagship so badly? More even in it´s anniversary?
Forza 4 looks great, not what they showed, but in a video going around the net where they show the headtracking.
Fable: The Journey was an on-rails game, looks extremely simplistic. The enemies just wait to be shot and the creation of the energy spear was so slow it was not even funny.
Disneyland Adventures....well, when they started the presentation, saying that it was a digital representation of the all park, it got myself saying, great idea......but then i saw the gameplay.
Well, it´s Kinect Adventures II, no more no less.
Kinect Star Wars...the 3rd on-rails game on Kinect, this one came a new cool features....lag.
Sesame Street.......if Disneyland Adventures is Kinect Adventures II, this one is Kinectimals II.
Tim Schaffer....why?
Dance Central II and Kinect Sports II are what they are, if you liked the first, you will like the sequels.
Halo 4.....it was expected, and the trailer was not all that.
I really liked the part of a " the dawn of a new trilogy for the Xbox 360"...it´s sad, they really don´t have anything else then Halo to show, so, it´s already a trilogy.
All in all, there wasn´t one single game i was excited about, the best thing in the all press conference was Kinect Fun Labs, and even so, they didn´t showed anything i wasn´t expecting since launch.
The sad part is, they still don´t know what to do with Kinect.
Mass Effect 3 made good use of Kinect, better than what MS does.
Ghost Recon customization looked as a gimmick, and the all shooting if just bad use of Kinect.
To shot by opening you hand, reload by pulling your arm backwards, and to hold up the weapon as you are holding a gattling gun....i was just bad.
