Resolution is an over-rated aspect, a buzzword.
AA would make a much larger visual diffrence.

You can, but the majority of the gaming will still be on a tv.

Wow, I'm not sure what to think of this. I mean, it's great what Nintendo came up with but I was actually expecting a new console not a controller.

Wii U is a 1080p console that attaches to your TV. The controller is the thing with the screen on it. Developers can use that touch screen to interact with the TV game, but you can also stop using the TV and continue playing the game on just the controller.

They're still hesitating on revealing full specs, such as price and release date, which isn't a good thing.

The Wii U leaves me with several Emotions....Confused,Intruiged,Baffled,Angry, and Somewhat Excited...but I'm mainly pissed they Teased Super Smash Bros with no Actual Teaser Whatsoever

The wii being less powerful hasn't stopped Mario Galaxy being the highest rated exclusive title or the wii running rings around those consoles sales wise.
I doubt Nintendo really care.

WiiU is basically just an updated wii that displays 1080p and is a little stronger in computing power. But other than that, there doesn't seem to be much of a difference, which is why I believe they focused more on selling the controller instead.

I do have one thing to wonder though. How much more powerful can you get a system? How much more realistic can the graphics get at this point? Before we are just controlling actors with a remote control? So I do have to wonder how much more different the next XBOX or Playstation will look.

To show us what its capable of. I think for now its easier for the 3rd party developers to just port their existing projects onto the thing rather than create original titles for it.

Sure I have a PS3 and yes I love it but I gave all 3 companies a fair shake and watch all 3 conferences and sony just seemed to have more going for it honestly.

X-box pushed the kinect way too much and almost made it seem like that was the only direction the company was heading in if not for the halo 4 trailer to remind us of what brought them to the dance.

PS3 - pushed alot of the games the fan base wanted too see like resistance, uncharted, twisted metal and so fourth while pushing the move a tad.

Wii - Im not sure what to make of WiiU yet because it seems still very embryotic with what it can do but it came off a bit confusing at first when the kid was using the controller and tv at the same time while playing baseball. I would get annoyed if Im watching football and my kid keeps sending pics to the tv showing me stuff.

Overall If Im a hardcore gamer looking for more adult oriented games with some edge to them this year and towards christmas Im going PS3. just my opinion though.

MY one disappointment though this year is Madden didnt show off the move or kinect capabilities.

Did they say you can play the actual games on the thing? To me, I took it as certain features, like small supplemental/mini game type stuff, but not an actual full Wii-U title. If thats the case, then its basically a handheld and that would make additional controlers pretty expensive if the controller is capable of handling that much data on its own

I tend to agree. The Wii sold so well bc it reached a market, previously unpenetrated. The moms, grandparents, and others who werent traditional gamers. Many who bought the Wii, got it an maybe 2 other games and nothing else. I think that group doesnt care about going out and getting the newest latest thing. Unlike the Wii, I think the traditional gamer, will be more interested in this than the casual

Except the third party games shown for it (Darksiders II, Ninja Gaiden 3, Battlefield 3, Aliens: Colonial Marines, DiRT, etc.) look exactly like their PS3 and 360 counterparts and Reggie himself has just said that Wii U is a separate console, that requires a separate SKU to develop for, and is a new HD console for Nintendo.

The trailer showed some guy playing Super Mario Mii on a tv, then he switched to playing it on the controller when his bud wanted to watch baseball. It seems like it will stream from the console, which is why it's not a portable system.
