I'd like to see McKay get it, myself.

He may force Rudd to wear Sex Panther cologne, only because 60% of the time it works every time.

Not sure though I want to see Michael Pena on the receiving end of a trident though.

So would I.

I like most of his movies, and he has worked with Rudd before. All 3 have made movies I like, but I see him having the highest upside.

I'm not going to lie, I'd laugh :oldrazz:

Just insert Will Farell as Whirwind, and BO gold!

Dodgeball?

Also, Terry Tate, Office Linebacker, which was f'ing awesome.

I was trying to think of a Thurber film that I really liked .
It was Easy A with Emma Stone .

I double checked IMDB. Will Gluck directed Easy A, not Thurber.

Thurber did We Are the Millers, which was a pretty big hit. But I haven't seen it yet. I will say that I quote Dodgeball on a regular basis.

"Necessary? Is it necessary I drink my own urine? No, but I do it because it's sterile and I like the way it tastes!!"

Thank you Dodgeball ;)

Adam McKay directing this gives you an idea of what kind of movie they want. Its interesting, I wasnt expecting the guy who directed those Will Ferrell comedies to do an MCU film.

I don't think it does at all. Did the Russo Brothers directing Cap 2 give you any idea of the kind of movie it would be? It wasn't a comedy at all, and probably the most serious of the MCU films.

True it might be a Cap 2 situation. We'll see!

I think the fact MCU has changed from when Wright first got into the studio made a big difference. He was probably thinking that he had carte blanche at Marvel for all these years and when he found he didnt, things went south. Hey, these things happen.

But admittedly, Wright is a bit behind the times in general. When he first started writing his script, the 1960s were only 10 years prior and Michael Douglas (whom he wanted for Pym) was just coming off his run in the Streets of San Francisco.

Feige tried to tell him that times have changed, and that there will need to be certain universal amendments made to the script, particularly with regard to dates, and that while they can get Douglas, he isn't a spring chicken anymore. Did Wright listen to that? :oldrazz:

^^ haha! Wright comparing himself to Buster Keaton kinda says it all to me. I mean, its like: Yeah, ok Edgar. Whatever dude.

I was hoping for someone a little more quirky. The names suggested are closer to "corny comedies" rather than quirky ones. However, as pointed out, Cap2 shows you can't really use prior movies in determining what a Marvel movie will be like. That being said, if I were to use prior work, the Russos for their work in Community would actually have been on the top of my list.

If Edgar wanted to do his dream vision of Ant-Man then he should of made the film before Disney brought Marvel in 09 and Marvel was still an indie film studio. Dragging his feet in hindsight seems to of cost him the chance to make the film he wanted to make if the rumours are true.

McKay passed on directing it as well, so it's not just Edgar apparently.

We have no idea why McKay didn't agree to do it. I wish people wouldn't jump to conclusions.

Yup.

This is one of the problems with having instant access to only small pieces of news for things that do not involve us, but are highly interesting to us. It's like middle school rumors x100.
