I LOVED the Dark Brotherhood quest line. I was so disappointed when it was over :(

The Mage's guild was great, too. The fighter's guild was boring though; "Go to this cave and kill all the Goblins. K thanx" Plus you had to go to different city guilds constantly while the others you just went to one person, got quests from them for awhile, then moved on to another place.

I was disappointed with The fighter's guild. I was so disappointed that I don't even think I finished the Fighter's guild.

The Arena was great too. I liked how they slowly started kissing your ass as you won more.

The "Whodunit" mission of Dark Brotherhood was my favorite mission from Oblivion.

I haven't finished it either and I don't have much interest to.

Yeah, that was great.

I still haven't played much of the expansions. I don't care much for Shivering Isels. Haven't started Knights of the Nine.

I wasn't that interested in the Expansions either. There was so much to do in the actual game I didn't bother to buy the expansions.

I loved the Knights of Nine. I thought it was pretty fun. I was not huge on Shivering Isles either though.

Shivering Isles just felt so friggin bizarre. As I was playing it, I found myself just rushing through it and I left because that's not how it should be played.

I got lost in that weird guy's palace, too. I exited a door and one of the guard chicks started attacking me.

Personally, I thought the Sivering Isles was really good. Also, so, what did you guys think of The Adoring Fan, lol?

The conversation in this thread shows exactly what made Oblivion so great, it's bountiful and diverse content. Though a have done all the major quests in Oblivion and the majority of the minor quests I know I haven't completed every single quest.

I did however do every single quest in Fallout and in most cases multiple times. Still loved the game but, excluding the expansions, I think Oblivion edges it out especially in the amount.

^^ I remember seeing that video a while back. Just awesome, lol. Tbh, i never took the adoring fan on top of the mountain and killed him, but I will now, lol. I always forgot to do it or some reason.

Daaaaamn that is bad ass. Can't wait.

I echo both trains of thought. Knights of the nine was probably my second favorite quest line behind the Dark Brotherhood. It has a good story and structure, and also has a good payoff with the last fight. It's an even better quest line if you're playing a Paladin character. The armor and weapons are awesome, and can even scale as you level if you put them back on the shrine, unlike other quest items that stay crappy if you get them early.

Also in agreement on Shivering Isles, wasn't big on it. It's a nice change of pace to occasionally step in for different scenery, but it was just...there otherwise, nothing special. After I bought it I took my Marksman through, and went back to normal Oblivion after I reached the city. Nothing held my attention, the land had too many high rises and dips (coupled with no horse) making travel akward. Instead of the cities feeling like cities due to a seemingly normal population going about their lives, it felt like they just gave everyone a psychological problem and tossed them altogether. Don't even get me started on the main quest. I finished the main quest in vanilla Oblivion and wasn't a fan of it, but have tried, and failed to get interested in the Shivering Isles quest. I can't seem to care enough to get past the drug addict painter dark elf. Much like most of Shivering Isles it's disjointed and not terribly interesting.

I realize I came down harsh on Shivering Isles. It's not horrible, but not compelling or polished either. It's not like it's the worst thing I bought DLC wise off the Playstation Network (that honor goes to that Capcom pirate Age of Booty game), and I did get use from it such as the new armor and weapons. I also give Bethseda credit for redoing the setting rather than just copy+pasting another forrest. However I also felt it was more of a distraction to break things up in Oblivion rather than something I'd want to play on it's own for any long length of time.

I loved Shivering Isles the first time I played it, but I didn't think it held up well when I started to play it again.

I noticed it when I first saw it, but I liked (at least I think it was) Max von Sydow's voice over work.

Is it wrong that despite Max von Sydow being such a prolific and well-respected actor the only one of his performances I can name off the top of my head is the voice of Vigo the Carpathain in Ghostbusters II (and the video game)? :funny:

LOL. The role that always jumps to mind with me is The Exorcist, or Minority Report.

I keep watching the trailer. It's so awesome. Same for UC3.

Nick Brecon (Bethesda’s community manager) tweeted that the game will have a new engine.

We can now confirm that the TES V: Skyrim engine is all-new. And it looks fantastic.

He also added this.

It's a new graphics/gameplay engine built internally. We'll have more details down the road.

Finally, that's all I can say right now.

It´s great that it has a new engine, but i was expecting it to be IDTech 5, with ID being Bethesda´s and all....

There are some rumors running around, so i ask you, would you be happy if Skyrim ends on being a MMO?
