I think Uninspired Cup needs to visit an Eye Doctor. The new stills are above the Oblivion models.

My decision to play as an Orc this time has been validated. :D

Finally Orcs are the right kind of ugly. Not just horrid character model kind of ugly, but scary monster ugly.

Although this time, for once... my character may be Human... or Elf. Just because they won't like like crap anymore.

Your bifocals need adjustment. The images looks vastly different. The ones soapy posted look far better than what u posted.

I ALWAYS thought Oblivion character models looked like garbage. Complaining about the Skyrim models is nothing more than trolling now. Seriously.

It seems everytime I make a valid point and attempt to back it up, I basically get called a troll or people give a childish "you are wrong reply" with nothing to back it up. Also, it seems you aren't even comprehending what is being said and are simply jumping the gun with rather silly knee jerk replies.

1. I am not complaining about the models, at no point in my post do I say or indicate they are bad.

2. They clearly look better than Oblivion default models. At no point in my post do I argue against that. The pictures taken however, simply aren't fair. If you zoom into a texture, including bump mapping/parallax mapping e.t.c... it becomes worse, that's how textures work in all games.

3. That is a custom model, not the default model thus the argument "Bethesda's presentation" as that isn't Bethesda's presentation, it's someone else modified what is being displayed on the engine.

I just don't get why you constantly hate on something. If you don't like it.. fine, state that and then move on... But you don't. You just constantly hate to the point where it gets ridiculous. I don't really have anything against you... sometimes I even agree with you...

However, you come across as attacking things. It's fine if you don't like something... but you don't talk about anything either. If anyone goes against what you have to say you write them off as being wrong.

You just come off as a troll... whether you're trying to be one or not. If you don't think the upgrades to Skyrim are that great.. fine, but why continue to harp on it when you're obviously in the minority?

But you didn't have a valid point. There is a clear difference between the image u posted and the ones from that preview. You're just complaining for the sake of complaining. Everyone but you recognizes that.

Well he is right on one thing. He didn't say they were bad, but he didn't say they were good. In fact he said they were about the same as Oblivion's. Which everyone but him can see that they are better.

You're not making any valid points though, you're just saying "No, it's not better."

Not at all, it's clearly just a faster option to get to somewhere for a quest if you don't feel like riding for about 40 minutes to get across the map. RDR had exactly the same feature and the lack of that option is something that has been complained about a lot in Bethesda games.

I disagree. Howard was purposely trying to be unclear because from what most sources reported they were unsure. I believe you are extrapolating a conclusion based on the mare fact that there are traditionally mountable creatures.

The article a quoted wasn't the only one I came across the implied there may not be mounts either. For instance:
“We don’t know where it’s going to end up. There were things with the Oblivion horses- we like having them, but there are certain things… they weren’t the greatest implementation of horses. And now you see games come out like Red Dead, you know, there are more horses in games that we feel like just the basic implementation we did in Oblivion isn’t going to be good enough. So, we are currently attempting things with that and we don’t know where it’s going to end up.

“A world without them feels a little weird, without seeing them… So, we definitely want to have them… we don’t know yet what you’re going to be able to do with them, and to what level.”
Source

I"m not saying that there will not be mounts, just that assuming they are a given may result in disappointment.

The new info seems great, especially the way it is detailed here:Gamespot Preveiw
Be aware it is spoiler filled as it is basically a recount of the entire mission.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the combat and magic in action.

People don't like negative nancies, and you always come off as negative, even if you are being truthful in your opinion.

I'm not assuming they're a given, i'm not assuming anything. But assuming they're NOT in is just as silly, especially when a fast travel option in no way indicates that is the case.

You seem to be taking my posts out of context. I didn't assume there wouldn't be any mounts, all I did was post an excerpt from an article that was suggesting there may not be since the discussion was becoming centered on it and I wanted to bring it to others attention. Your comment ignores the context of the posts previous to mine, that of the question answered in the article (or avoided depending on how you look at it), and the further support I provided to try to clarify why I said "seem to suggest" (which was chosen to denote the absence of a definitive answer) and how it isn't limited to fast travel.

You also seem to be coming at this from a defensive position and if you are then it wont matter what I say or how I say it. I'm not trying to start an argument just support my statements. I know it's more difficult to discern in text.

Trouble in paradise Uninspired Cup? glad to see other people butting heads with you. Let's not forget my victory from our last argument, if you can call it that. Oh and folks, she or he shuts down when facts are in play, so use those.

That Khajit model makes me want to play as one now. Never liked how they or the argonians looked.

Iv never played as any of the no 'human' races. I might try out a few this go round tho.

I always play a human, or close enough human character. Besides, when my brother was playing an Argonian, he'd make this scary hiss everytime he took a hit. Not natural I say!

In Morrowind I had a Nord and an Argonian. And in Oblivion I had a Nord and a Khajiit. Somewhat ironic that we get a game that's set in the Nord homeland and I don't want to play as one this time.

Yeah, like I said... I always roll Orcs due to the humans just being down right ugly looking. If I was going to be ugly... might as well be "creature" ugly.

Orcs are at least humanoid enough to be the best of both worlds, lol. I do hope they're a bit bulkier in Skyrim though.
