Daredevil Elektra casting and discussion thread

On the topic of the costume, I made some concept art on how I envisioned her to appear in the series

I think the red "cap" is such a signature look for her, so I did my best to try and ground it in reality.

It's based off of no one in particular. Just how I imagined her to look.

I think it fits in the context of the series

But of course, this is just based on my own personal aesthetics and opinion on what I'd like to see when she shows up.

Apart from the cool design posted by Pixen in the previous page, what kind of outfit would you guys like to see her in?

For the most part, it's cool but some food for thought:

I feel like her comic counterpart "cap' is fairly believable/realistic. I thnk it was just a bandana

I think there should be more red.

Where does she put her sais? Does she have to lift her jacket tails to holster them?

There seems like a disconnect between her top and her bottoms. Her top looks more bulky but then she has skintight yogapants with booties that look seamless, like one piece.

her original design fit the comics, but would be a bit too over the top for the tone of the current show is going for.

Just a question, why isn't Elektra viable for a Netlix series? Does it have more to do with the nature of the comic book character or with that horrible movie (though it didn't stop Daredevil)?

she's totally viable for the netflix series storywise, but make her costume look less outrageous.
it's over-sexualized in the comics, which is fine for the comic but would look dumb in live action.
however, her story and her conflict w/ daredevil is a totally cool and integral part of the mythos.

I'd love to see an Elektra series/mini-series. I'd love to see a more realistic/really loose adaption of of Elektra: Assassin... With SHIELD being kaput/gone and Garrett already in the SHIELD universe, it'd need some rearranging and changes.

Thank you! That's the same thought process I was going with. Perhaps if she's shown in different points in time, she's wearing different styles of outfits.

Yeah, surprisingly she'd be a better fit here than for WW. Elektra doesn't need as much muscle on her.

As for more costume reference, not sure if many caught it but Frank Miller snuck her look in the Sin City movie. She's wearing her "Elektra Lives Again" look. It's a little too much for me but it's comic accurate.

It was one of the girls in the big shootout in The Big Fat Kill part of the first Sin City movie. It's the only time the woman makes an appearance in the movie.

I actually quite like this a lot. Looks really reminiscent of the Hand outfit nobu had, yet its very "elektra" and elegant.

I just hope that they never say her full name and just refer to her as "Elektra" or "Ms. Natchios." Saying the whole thing together just sounds so ridiculous. Nostalgia Critic had a field day with that.

Haha yeah I was still living with my family in 2003-2004 and I remember coming home one night and they were watching the Daredevil movie. My mom was like, "What's her name? Did she say Electric Nachos?"
