Enter The Sandman: The Dreams Thread

Can't say I've ever watched more than a few episodes.

I would but I canceled my netflix since I never watch it.

I'll dream that you reinstated your netflix and went on an X-Files binge.

I dreamt I went to a Blockbuster video store and rented a bunch of VHSs (including Kindergarten Cop 5). When I left it, I realized I was somewhere in Somalia and I thought to myself "oh that makes sense there'd still be Blockbusters in Somalia!" Strange....

Well of course it'd make sense in Somalia.

Also, I'd like to borrow Kindergarten cop 5.

I had a dream where I looked out the window, and saw my Uncle's car. He's my favorite uncle too which caused me to get excited. It's a shame he drove right past my house. It also didn't help that he's Canadian and only visits us when he comes.

I don't know what any of that meant but I'd rather not.

It's some complex Inception Nolan s**t, Kevan. You weren't supposed to understand it.

I had a dream the other night where in the dream I died. Which wasn't particularly nice. But after that happened, I woke up, inside my dream, and found to my horror that I was completely blind and deaf.
Now this freaked me out, as I thought I was actually awake by this point.
A little while after that I did wake up for real, and in a bit of a scare. You know, the usual thing, feeling a bit panicky and breathing heavily.

Definitely not the most fun way to wake up.

I had a long and full dream last night but what I remember the most is that I did this move from the MoS movie and then I shot forward like he does in the film.

I believe that I was showing off to a friend how I could fly and mentioned this movie's scene like "Yeah you know that one part where he said 'You're a monster Zod, and I'm gonna stop you'? Watch this" And then I re-enacted it. I remember feeling a lot of energy in my legs when I did it. It was so awesome, here's to another one like it soon.

That's an awesome dream, JaD. Send one my way.

I forget my dreams by the time I wake up, aside from an exception here and there. I studied the reasons behind this, and apparently it's because my worries are at the forefront of my conscious mind during waking hours.

I thought that remembering dreams is dependant upon waking up while the dream is occurring.

I've heard that. But I doubt it can be the only answer when I recall maybe one dream every two or three months.

That's a myth. I remember my dreams every night. At least for a little while. Some people remember their dreams. Some people don't.

I'm the same. My friend says he never remembers his dreams yet I dream every night and remember them all, if not immediately or all of it then later in the day and at least a section of it. I've really been fascinated with what's going on with me and dreams lately since I can't remember having a night of sleep in the last few years that was blank in my mind.

I find that if I don't write down what happens in my dreams when I first wake up then it's all gone within an hour from my mind.

I had a dream that I was able to give input on how the beginning credits of Batman vs Superman should look. I think I may have just been describing it to a friend in it or something but it was very visual and like as if I was actually watching it.

But anyways, the movie started off with the music from the beginning of the 2nd (or 3rd, not sure) Wolverine trailer (terrific trailer music btw, no wonder it came up in my dream) Here's the song if you haven't heard it, it's right in the very beginning, over the company logos. It then morphed into quick flying shots of dark and stormy caves and mountains. There is rain and lightning over very gothic scenery. The lightning also illuminates the eyes of a hanging upside down bat at one point which flies away.

Then it eventually settles down as the music and scenery changes to Hans Zimmers and the Arctic as well as flying POV shots over the ocean and countryside. All of this to parts of Hans' ''What Are You Going To Do When You're Not Saving The World''.

When the credits were finished it showed Clark (Henry Cavill) coming out of Perry White's office laughing about something. Can't remember anything else other than an awkward laugh Clark did but imagine maybe they watched a news clip of Bruce Wayne in the background afterwards :oldrazz:

Here's hoping we get something like that in :brucebat: vs :supes:, it'll make me feel all prophetic or something :hehe:

I just want to learn to lucid dream man.. I've been trying for like a year off and on and I got nothing.

Oh, didn't mean to skip over you. :oldrazz:

That sounds cool...I wouldn't mind seeing that. Then have a shot of Batman standing on a ledge with Superman hovering in the distance as the final shot.. Mhmm mm good.

Well, I had this dream years ago and it bears repeating because the dream symbols in it eerily resemble a few real life occurrences that I have been having in the waking world. Anyways, here's the dream. Bolded is the part of the dream that I have been able to figure out quite precisely in terms of aforementioned events.

So, the dream starts out that I'm in some kind of cushy office building filled with executives. I'm at some kind of refreshment table talking to this blond haired guy who is some kind of Olympic Swimmer. He is pleasant to chat with but all of a sudden I look at his hands and see them bleeding. So I back away because it's a bit on the unsettling side.

Well, I get this sense that there's something outside I need to fight so I crash through the wall and I'm in this open field now. I see this dark, shadowy form and it's trying to kill me but it can't because it intuits to me that my armor is too strong so it transforms into a crow. Beside it is a sickly looking, brown pitbull type dog. It's emaciated with puss coming out of its eyes and you can see it's bones sticking out underneath its skin. I spot this healthy looking young puppy and we're both happy to see one another like we've known each other for a long time. It's evident though that this dark entity in the form of a crow does not want me to associate with this puppy at all but all it can do is impotently caw at me. I start walking away from it and the sickly dog with the puppy as we both walk away from the cawing crow until it disappears. I'm now walking down the street leading to where I used to live as a kid with this puppy who's growing up into an adult as we walk. There's a slight disturbance from some immature kids stalking us which the now near adult dog guardedly monitors and then they're all gone. This is when I wake up.

As far as my interpretations of this dream go I'm not sure about most of it save for the bolded part. Let me explain, I have been interested in a young guy but his shall I say "handlers" don't like the fact we're fond of each other. This pretty closely parallels the dream imagery of the angry crow cawing at me when I meet the puppy. I think the Crow and the sickly dog represent these people and the puppy represents this guy. This is the best I can come up with given the symbolic nature of dreams, especially this one.

I've been having vivid dreams recently.

1. I was in the 1920's showing my friends of the time my smartphone

2. I was hiking in woods I knew were infested with werewolves. I remember very clearly packing for this trip, planning my adventure around the werewolves, and at once point running from them.

I don't think that was a dream, I think it was real.

Heh, wasn't it confirmed that that lady was using an old-school hearing aid?

Awesome dream, too!
