Episode 08 - "Seven Minutes To Midnight" - Discussion Thread

that's what I was just thinking.

what if when bennet made eden make isaac do heroin to paint, he just gave him a placebo? you know, something to make him THINK that he was high, when he was just injecting sugar water or something.

does seem strange that its in front so visible while the others where covered in the back by clothing.

You need to try some heroin and rethink this post.

Okay, then let me ask this.... what are the odds of someone unintentionally painting 2 parallel lines lines that narrow on the front of oneself that just so happen to look an awful lot lot markings showing up on other characters? let's face it, makeup would have had to put the "paint marks" on him for effect, so don't you think someone would have said "uh, that looks exactly like the tats we're throwing on matt & the other guy, so how about going with a single brush stroke?"

Or did he intentionally paint them on himself while stoned as part of a vision? oooo....

The paint smear on his tank top right next to these supposed marks makes me think it's a paint smear, unless it can be verified in another capture at a different time.

Ok then thats settled. Yeah he did go back 6 months ago to her birthday. Ill post pictures in a bit.

Actually it settles that he went back AT LEAST 6 months.

He was wearing the same clothes in the pic as when he left. Even if he time travelled farther back he should be able to get a change of clothes from somewhere.

So either he went back pretty much to her BDay, oooooor it's just an oversight by the production crew.

He's been wearing the same clothes for the entire show too, maybe he just rolls like that.

You forget him pimping the grey suit, Rain Man style. ;)

The two lines are paint, look at the stain on the shirt. Besides, its on the front wherein the other two were on the back.

So Hiro can change the present by going into the past. He went to the party in the past and changed the photo of the party that is in the present. So why didnt he save Charlie? I think in the 6 months he realized that it would create a time paradox. If he saved charlie then he wouldnt have to go back to save charlie, so charlie wouldnt be saved and he would have to go back to save charlie ect. So Hiro can change anything in the past except the reason he went to the past in the first place. So he has to let Charlie die on that day . Which has to suck for him, getting close to a girl for 6 months knowing that she is going to be killed and knowing there is nothing you can do about it.

I think Charlie, became the super brain and convinced him that he was going to create the time paradox and everything would be screwed up! But I think she is glad that he warned her and they cared a lot about each other...

So she will make the hardest decision and tell him that she should die.

I'm just pulling this out but does it make sense? Cause she gets all knowing after reading something.

I like how things are NOT happening as we expect 'em to happen.

I'm just wondering how "Firestorm" knew the dude was Haitian? He doesn't talk...

"Find the Haitian!!!" LOL

Probably some politically correct move so they didn't have him referred to as 'that black guy'.

Though this would be an interesting plotline, I doubt it, as her skills seem to be having a photographic memory, so she just doesn't know things, she has to read it first. Also, all the knowledge in the world won't make you smarter unless you are a logical and thoughtful being in the first place.

it was just a thought...but hey it doesn't hurt to think...or does it? Thanks for the Input

Maybe. Damn silly if it that is actually the case, though. They can obviously tell that he's black. Nationality, though? Uh-uh.

So...anyone thinking that it was Hiro that gave her the Japanese/English book. I'd like to see them explain that one if it happened.

Then why didn't he come back?

you know if he just walks back into the resturant I'm going to start laughing histericly and be like, (thats fed up), cause it will just leave us with more Questions.

Then why didn't he come back?

His Nissan Versa brokedown.

Or maybe he didnt want to run into his otherself. Keep in mind for the last 6 months there have been two hiros on earth. Or three if you count future-hiro showing up for a second. Which reminds me, if Hiro cant change the past then why did Future-hiro come back? I hate time-travel, it makes my brain hurt.
