I'm not sure what kind of point your making, could you clarify further?

Steve

Well you were making it sound like they won't stop aging. The Lex we saw in this episode wasn't an old man.

I'm not sticking up for the show, but this is Smallville and I was just pointing out a few possible choices they might use.

Ahhh he kinda was an old man. Lex is supposed to be around 32/33 by this point in the timeline, given back in season 1, I think Lana said he was only 24. So that makes his clone 53 ish, since Tess said he's about 20 years older. So if that Lex was reaching 53 years of age, whats to say that the young Lex won't also keep aging past the expected age Lex would need to be in order to be Rosenbaum?.

Great episode. Each subsequent episode's going to be a treat till the big finale.

Anyone wanna take bets that despite using the SR suit they'll have the yellow S on the back of the cape?

After re-watching Lazarus last night I'm pretty sure they intend to keep the real Lex Luthor alive. When Clark is in purgatory he saw the "real" original Lex. Right before the lightning bolt struck Clark and sent him back it struck Lex and sent him back. I'm assuming they were both on their death bed and they were both brought back somehow. The Lex that was in Purgatory was sent back. that wasn't a Lex clone. The real Lex Luthor is alive NOW. Clark saw him and even saw him leave the purgatory. Clark should realize that. Come on...

"I'm not sure, the lex that was killed 2 yrs ago was a clone. And in the purgatory state, Lex had returned to the world of living just as Clark did. Lex's body was not at cadmus, but the regenerative clone were left there. The same person who brought Tess to cadmus is likely the same person who has revived lex. And that is presumably granny. I really don't think that boy is Lex, just a distraction. If he grows, then old Lex's soul or brain is likely to be place in the vessel"

I bet and hope they do. Its been in all the cape flashes we have seen over the years.

Loved the first episode. The Lex/Clark scene in the field was my favorite. This season is going to be shocker!:hrt:

hopefully if they do get michael back we can get some clear answer to the truck lex, and to all the clones and all that. As for the SR suit YES ITS BEEN SAID THAT ITS JUST A PROP for now for the show. They wanted something to use in the episode and wb and their archives allowed sv producers to borrow the suit prop for the episode. Also yes what ever tom ultimately does wear it will have to be something first he is comfortable to wear and that is fitted to him.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I was wondering if anyone here knew anything about online availability for season 10. Last season the CW website put up the new episodes the Monday after they aired, but the season premier isn't up there yet. Does anyone here know if they're changing their release schedules, or if they're not putting them up anymore? Thanks

How can someone be on the verge of death for 2 years?

And I doubt there would be a Lex clone with the fortress injuries who wanted revenge on Clark and Lana... WHILE running Prometheus to heal his injuries AND supposedly being the man behind this Cadmus project to also heal himself...

It all seems to point to Lex really being dead.

to the episode question, cw folks are probably running late getting it up. Also you can easily find episodes on amazon.com and itunes where its always a big seller.

This is all pretty easy to explain IMO.

He is in a coma.

That keeps him out of the game since the explosion, and explains why Clark saw him in the state between death.

I agree, I believe the real Lex is really dead this time. I mean he was on near life support when a truck exploded around him. If he was barely alive then, I doubt he'd still be alive after that.

Plus, we saw Granny walk into Tess' room after she died, which draws the obvious conclusion that she was the one who took Tess to Cadmus. If that is the case, I doubt that he'd be working for Lex. If anything, Darkseid might be behind it all, trying to bring Lex back as a way of forcing Clark to go over the edge so that he can be controlled, since it seems like that's what Jor-El wanted to prevent happening to Clark, especially after he snapped on the Lex clone.

They have to! It has been foretold they will. See: that flapping cape shot they've been using for years. ;)

I could be wrong, but I think the suggestion is that the Lex in the truck was actually a clone, and the real Lex that went down in the FOS is alive and in a coma somewhere.

Reminds me of what they did with Lex in L & C.

My thoughts exactly, Which is why their are going to be Lex clones poping up throught the season .

I thought the clone killed them all except Alexander. Unless there are more Lex clones out in the wild hidden.

I wouldn't be surprised. It wouldn't be very smart for Lex to keep all his eggs in one basket.

I'm telling you, there's a kid out there that has the DNA of Lex Luthor AND Clark Kent.

A girl can dream... :whatever:

I wouldn't mind seeing some early stages of this at some point in the season. Obviously not the full blown Kon-El/Superboy, since Clark hasn't even progressed into being Superman yet, but a reference to it would be all kinds of awesome.

I'm thinking Superboy is off limits either because of copyright issues or because he's going to be in that new Young Justice cartoon. But when I saw Cadmus, and "clones"...

:awesome::awesome::awesome:

the thing they did in this episode that I loved was the return of JKent. What I loved, and what I was hoping they would have done in SR, was diminish the importance of Jor'el in favor of the dead JKent.

They did this very well in this episode. I hope that they get schnieder back for another episode later on to play upon the theme. I just like how it is the simple, good minded farmer who can help Superman better than the all knowing biological father.

I think it's one theme that's been lost, and it goes along with Clark 'accepting' his kryptonian heritage. It is the Kents who made Clark who he is, his human parents and human peers (including lex), not any kryptonians.

I kind of hope that this is what season 10 is about, thematically

Yea Coma or just on life support the whole time and slowing healing himself with the use of the clones. The theory that I'm hoping comes true is that the Lex in the truck was a clone, I believe the real Lex is out there somewhere either running the clone program or having someone run it for him. I believe he is slowly healing him self. I don't think the "old" Lex that killed the cadmus lab didn't know the whole story. I don't think that was the only lab. Little Alexander might know something.

Regardless after I watched Lazarus they specifically didn't show the face of lex when he was in purgatory with Clark. The other Clone they had no problem showing his face.
Clark got shot by a bolt of lightning and that took him back to his body. Right before that happened to clark the exact same thing happened to the real lex in purgatory. I believe the real one is alive somewhere and he is just now starting to be getting back to health. Or he is just in and out of his purgatory due to his health.
