Episode 11 - "Fallout" - Discussion Thread

I think the only way to cure that Jessica/Niki subplot is have the Haitian come over to the police station and erase Niki's memory of Jessica...

I don't think it'd be that easy.....I think Jessica is more than a memory. Seems like her soul merged with Nikki's or something.

It could even be possible that Nikki and Jessica are like Peter and Nathan. Jessica had all the power and Nikki somehow absorbed her.

So you are saying that the paintings depict a future in-which Peter was never there to save Claire?

No just this one painting. The one painting that didn't come to pass.

So how do you explain the painting of the Dead-peter in front of the school? Issac said he painted it weeks ago, so he painted it before future-hiro even came back.

That's a great point. I got nothin'. :woot:

Maybe she just has multiple personality disorder. When her sister died/murdered, she was so traumatized she created a separate distinct personality within herself as the protector (which it appears that Jessica was) As the protector only Jessica is able to access their powers or is aware of them. Perhaps if the two personalitlies are merged or if Nikki manages to "kill" the evil Jessica (which I think is going to happen a power struggle within Nikki) then Nikki will be able to access her powers once Jesse is gone.

Just a theory.

All of Isaak's paintings have and will come to pass.

Exactly. They have all come to pass. We simply drew the wrong conclusions as to what the paintings told us.

and so did the heroes.

If any of you have seen the documentaries that come with The Lords of The Rings Collector's Edition DVDs, where they talk about the seeing stones... that would probably clear things up.

These paintings are like the seeing stones in that they show everyone what's going on (or in this case what's to come), but everyone keeps drawing the wrong conclusion from the images they are seeing.

Well, Jessica's not evil. She's got Niki and Micah's best interest in mind. If anything Jessica might come to see that she longer needs to protect Niki and just leave on her own.

Actually I'm not sure that's true. Her actions speak otherwise. Shooting at DL while Micah was nearby, pushing Micah to the ground, framing DL in the first place. These are traits of someone who's selfish. She didn't have to sleep with Nathan, she always had the money hidden in her house she could have paid off Linderman with it. But instead she decides to sleep with Nathan.

-My Niki Jessica Theory-

I think Jessica was born with some kind of possession power, the ability have her consciousness leave her own body and enter another body. Everytime Niki would be attacked by her drunk dad Jessica would leave her body and take over Nikis body that way Niki wouldnt have to feel or remember the pain of the abuse. Jessica was protecting Niki. Thats why Jessica is such a *****, she got abused twice; once as Jessica again as Niki. And thats why Niki doesnt remember the abuse. Then drunk-dad chokes out Jessica, but just before she dies she leaves her body and enters Nikis, now she is traped in Nikis body. So jessica hides in the back of Nikis mind waiting for time when Niki needs her help again, to protect her, to do the things that Niki wont. And when she takes over Nikis body she also knows how to use the power Niki was born with: super strength.

that painting of peter exploding looks just like ' the guyver' picture a friend showed me.

theyre gonna get sued again.

Wouldn’t that suck if Future Hiro came back and said, “You saved Claire? You idiots! I meant Jackie. Next time I won’t worry about time paradoxes and give more specific instructions, because obviously people care a lot about time paradoxes.”

if thats true then NBC should have quit showing the heroes claire everytime they said save the cheerleader :cwink:

It would be better if it turned out to be an "either/or" type thing. Either save the cheerleader, or save the world.

I like it.

Watching some of the past episodes I noticed that the gun Eden had was the same kind of gun that Hiro found lying next to Issacs dead body in the future. Did Sylar bring the gun with him, or what?

Unless Sylar loses all the powers he's absorbed, he wouldnt need a gun to kill Issac to take his brain. Of course maybe the Peter exploding thing is in order to finally take Sylar down (after having killed and absorbed another ten or so as-yet-unseen powered characters) Peter learns to absorb a power rather than mimick it. but the number Sylar has in him now is too much for Peter to handle, so becomes critical (it could also be that Claire saying sorry is because the intent was for Peter to mimic her healing ability in order to survive the blast, but it just wasnt happening, so he's gonna die).

There's also the possibility that ISAAC took the gun.

I like the show cause our guesses almost always end up wrong.
