so i've suffered from socially crippling excessive blushing most of my life, i think it started when i was 13 and i'm now 24. I thought i'd just have to live with it and live a "half life" for the rest of my life. Whilst flicking through a magazine i came across na article about ets surgery which can eliminate the blushing by quaterising a section of nerves called the sypathetic nervous system. After consulting my doctor i was offered the surgery on the nhs but a week before i cancelled due to some supposed side effects of the operation which the doctor failed to mention. I'm meeting with my surgeon again next tuesday to discuss the surgery and possibly go back on the waiting list.

What i would like to know is has anyone here or anyone you knoe ever had this surgery and if so what side effects did you/they suffer if any and how did your/there life change after the op. Also any opinions on this op would be greatly recieved. many thanks for reading.

Wait, you blush a lot? Are you often smitten, or what?

I saw an episode of Grey's Anatomy where this girl would blush a lot, hahah. The side effects sounded pretty bad for that, dunno if it's what you're gonna do, lol. Still, if it's as bad as hers was in the episode I'd want the damn surgery no matter what.
