It's the remake guys. Not saying it won't be goo but sadly I think this kills any chance of Evil Dead 4 with Campbell and Raimi (not that there was ever much of one). With that said, I am looking forward to this...kinda

You know, the treatment for that wasn't terrible. It was clearly a commerce move but still way better than Freddy vs Jason. It gave us Ash as protagonist so it made the victims a bigger investment for audience.

Freddy vs Jason wasn't as bad as i expected, AVP ended up being worse than i expected even with me knowing that it would be bad.
I would like to have seen Ash kick ass and possibly more of the Vorhees family.

Personally, I really do wish Sam Raimi was directing the remake. However, I'm hoping Bruce is in it.

Love the first one. Hated the second one. 3rd one was ok.

I don't like the idea of a remake at all. The first one worked because it was an indie production. They struggled to work with what little they had. A remake, being made to look indie I would assume, is just going to look and feel orchestrated. I hate when people have big budgets and try to use them to make something look small and indie.

They want to make a rewarding remake of Evil Dead? Go out into the woods with less than $500,000 and let's see how serious you are about making this. Not gonna happen.

Not liking this remake thing at all. Just give us part 4. If Bruce Campbell isnt Ash then they should just leave the character out of the movie. Dont recast Ash. Bring on new characters, that role is reserved for Bruce Campbell only.

Yeah, why didnt Raimi and crew rewrite. Come on, these movies arent that old. If they have Campbell back as Ash Im there. You cant have Evil Dead without Campbell as Ash.

Jennifers Body had some funny stuff. It needed more gore plus T an A. Thats what I was promised. Not what I got. That Bedroom scene between Seyfried and Fox was awesome though.

But the Evil Dead films are NOT about cheap-ass scares and T & A! It's about witty humor and bad-ass action/horror scenes! Plus, this means NO BRUCE CAMPBELL! THAT is a SIN!

I dont think shes a good choice either, shes not a bad writer imo but I dont know bout her for Evild Dead. If they cast a new younger CW looking Ash I will rage. Campbell aint dead so they better have him supporting/cameo as Ash. Evil Dead fans have been waiting patiently for part 4 (which at points we were told would happen) and now we get a ****ing remake. I have A LOT of faith in Raimi with this. I would have loved for him to direct and for Bruce to return, but I'm hoping for the best.
