Evil Dead 4?

I'm sorry to say that AOD is my least favourite of the whole franchise. :funny: Still a decent watch though!

EVIL DEAD is the GOAT horror comedy franchise ahead of CHUCKY & Army of Darkness is the GOAT horror comedy. :wowe:

I'm tempted to watch Evil Dead 2013 now after reading the comments in this thread.

Unrelated but I would recommend Bloodsucking Bastards as a great zombie movie (hafta re-watch myself since it's been a long time) set in an office building.

Evil Dead Movie Evil Dead Rise Adds Gabrielle Echols, Morgan Davies and Nell Fisher to Cast Exclusive – The Hollywood Reporter

New Line has found some fresh meat for Evil Dead Rise, the latest chapter in the Evil Dead horror franchise.

Gabrielle Echols, Morgan Davies and Nell Fisher have joined Alyssa Sutherland and Lily Sullivan in the feature, which goes before cameras in June and is intended for HBO Max.

While most of the other Dead movies revolved around the demonic goings-on at a cabin in the woods, the new tale takes the corpses to the city and tells of two estranged sisters (Sutherland and Sullivan) whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival.

Details are being kept in the book, but sources say the trio will play siblings in peril.

Is this the first time children have been in one of these movies?

So it's gonna be a Ghostbusters Afterlife situation.

If they go ape-sh-t in true Evil Dead fashion, but with children; that could be kind of entertaining.

Have you guys seen that new Evil Dead game? Looks like a multiplayer thing, but it's got characters from everywhere which is nice fan-service.

Bruce Campbell announces return of 'Evil Dead' to cinemas, talks 'Doctor Strange 2' rumors

There is a new Evil Dead movie on the way, Evil Dead Rise. How involved in that are you? What can you tell us about the film?

Sam handpicked Lee Cronin, who is a very good Irish director, who did a movie called The Hole in the Ground. Lee is a very interesting filmmaker and Sam also worked with him on a couple of Quibi projects [with] Sam in a producing capacity. So he hand-picked him like he had picked Fede Álvarez (for 2013's Evil Dead). People can actually call it what [they] want: Sequel, remake, reimagining. It really is just another Evil Dead movie. It's book-centric. It's all about [the Necronomicon]. Where does this book wind up and what happens to it over the millennia? In this case, it's set in the city, it's no more cabin in the woods. It's entirely different, unsuspecting heroines who are going to save the day. It's filming now in New Zealand, with some of their amazing crews down there and they're well into it. Rob Tapert is the hands-on producer and we're all very involved in the script. We all jump in at various times to chime in. But, yeah, the three of us are very involved.

Beth pays an overdue visit to her older sister Ellie, who is raising three kids on her own in a cramped L.A apartment. The sisters’ reunion is cut short by the discovery of a mysterious book deep in the bowels of Ellie’s building, giving rise to flesh-possessing demons, and thrusting Beth into a primal battle for survival as she is faced with the most nightmarish version of motherhood imaginable.
Good to know we're definitely getting more ED - I hope they maintain the tone of the 2013 movie (this^^^ doesn't fill me with confidence - hope I'm wrong!).
