do you guys think Barry is going to work in in the crime lab forensics like in the comics in this movie? We only seen a little of him from the trailers but i would like to know what you guys think?

To me anyway it looks and sounds like hes some hacker type troup.

There was concept art of him in a lab coat.
I really doubt that the would drop the forensic scientist thing.

i dont expect it to be a focal point in JL but did you see the room in which he and bruce meet. this flash is Barry Allen in name only. IMO

A reminder to everyone.....if you don't agree with someone's opinion.....you can ignore it or discuss it civilly. Making rude comments about them is not acceptable.

You're basing this on what exactly?

The room? :funny:

it is kinda funny but yeah. its full of screens, monitors ad he has his suit in the open. Plus barry always had friends. how come this one doesn't? now im not saying this changes cant work they could for the tone of the movie but it seems like this is juts barry in name only.

i would like to know your thoughts

Maybe that room is just his FlashCave, where he keeps his superhero gadgets. He probably has a normal apartment that his friends go to. You can't just assume that this Barry is in name only from that footage only. Wait till the movie comes out.

Good to know Grant Gustin is also Barry in name only, I mean given these standards.

Things that seemingly characterise Barry Allen: having friends, not quippy, blonde.

Barry is a little quippy in the books. Plus he has friends. When Ezra said i need friends that just didn't sound like barry to me. Barry is not a loner.

His hair color is one little consequence. they could have made that orange for all i care

What the heck is going on here

guys relax im just voicing my opinion here. Has Barry ever come across as a loner to you guys? As someone who is looking for friends?

Him having friends or not was never a big deal though, you're acting like it's one of his most important character traits.

The whole 'friends' thing I believe is about having 'friends' with 'super' abilities. Yeeees yes, at some point I expect him to call themselves 'Superfriends' like at the end of the JL animated movie (I think it was 'War' with DS as the big baddy). That would be very much BA. I wouldn't call him quippy per se, I think he's just an awkward nerdy type, which I think would fit in.

I wouldn't even think about the blonde detail.

I wouldn't discount Ezra's flash until I see the whole movie. Even then, if he's a different but good take on the character, I'll be sure to enjoy it.

Switch that line to "I need super friends" and you'll get a 20% bump up on RT :o

it kind of is. Would you call Barry a loner? someone who keeps to himself?

It could be something they decided to add to the movie to make him want to join the league quickly. i not saying its going to ruin the movie.

Never cared for his social life, he has Iris, that pretty much sums it up for me.

I have already spent too much time on discussing this.

As I said, it seems like his main character traits in your opinion are:
blond, non-quippy, having friends.

If he ain't all that, he's not "true" to Barry Allen, which in my mind makes no goddamn sense.

This. I thought it was fairly obvious, given that he joins up immediately to a team of "people with special abilities".

He's probably looking for an outlet, someone to share and help him process and understand what he's going through.

Cue people whining that that's not Barry Allen.

Didn't long ago someone posted a page from a recent Flash comic (I think it was from either New52 or Rebirth) of Barry mentioned that he never felt he really "fitted" with anyone until he met the league?? That's a particular approach that I think they might explore in this movie, how they all finally found people "alike" in this group.

honestly its not that big a deal. just voicing an opinion that all. does it seem like im whining?

It's just that it makes zero sense what you're saying honestly. And it's unreasonable.
