Ezra Miller IS the Flash

I wonder if they are going to start to the lay the ground work for Meta-humans in BvS

So provided that Miller's casting is actually legit..
I guess it would be safe to assume that flash will be one of the cameos in BVS?

I hope so...

I knew they wouldn't cast a 37 year old, or an old dude for Flash.

I guess I'm just not as easily impressed as most, I watched Perks of Being a Wallflower and I came away thoroughly unimpressed by him and the also popular Logan Lerman. I thought both were mediocre. I don't see this massive talent everyone's raving about, after seeing thousands of actors in my life this kid doesn't stand out to me at all. He's just another guy.

Very disappointing choice.

Of course, cause you know more about great acting than the experts.

:whatever:

Ezra Miller's awards:

Another Happy Day (2011):
- Hamptons International Film Festival for Breakthrough Performer

The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012):

- Boston Society of Film Critics Award for Best Supporting Actor
- Hollywood Film Festival Spotlight Award
- San Diego Film Critics Society Award for Best Cast
- Santa Barbara International Film Festival — Virtuoso Award

LOL. I like how this is supposed to matter to me. I don't base my opinions on what other people think, if you only like actors that get nominated for meaningless Awards then good for you. He could have won 30 Oscars (don't care about Oscars either BTW), doesn't change my opinion. I couldn't give less of a **** about what "experts" think. I was not impressed by Miller.

Not gonna lie, these photos made me think even worse of him. He has a face of someone who just wanna punch.

Spread love not violence...now kiss him and make up :)

I'm actually more curious now on when, in the time line of the dcu, this version of Barry received his powers and how long he's been the flash.

My guess is that he's going to just starting out. Right now, he appears to be the youngest on the team. Maybe even younger than Cyborg (imagine that?). I can see them spinning his role in the plot as the rookie with a good heart who just wants to do the right thing, but just doesn't have the experience to achieve that goal. Enter the mentorship of older heroes like Batman and a more experienced Superman assuming that there's something of a time skip.

That's pure speculation of course. If they're going with the classic origin, he should at least be a police scientist before getting struck by the lightning. Going by his age, that would have to be semi-recently within the context of the story.

He's great. I think he'll be different to the usual Barry in the comics, but The Flash tv show is already giving me that for the most part.

He's perfect for the Bart Allen personality type Flash.

Also, very pleasantly surprised we're getting a Flash movie. I thought we were getting a TV show because we weren't getting a movie.

If Miller plays a more..energetic, ADD Flash, I hope the movie's like that too. 90 minutes of pure insanity. The wackiest fastest paced movie ever made.

What's the logic behind this casting?

Is he Wally West or Barry Allen?

I applaud WB for casting an openly gay actor for the role, I wonder if they'll write him as gay?

I had to IMDB him. The roles he's taken look pretty impressive, and I'll definitely give them a watch. Given the strong positive reaction around here and the few clips I watched, he looks pretty charismatic.

Physically, I don't see it at this very moment, but that's why we have hair and makeup people, trainers, and costume designers.

He is definitely a bit effeminate in his presentation (makeup), but I think a lot of that has to do with makeup, hair styling.

He's an actor.

He's tall, lanky, a lot like the JLTAS version of The Flash, really. And similar to Gustin in that regard, really to more modern versions of The Flash in general.

I watched a couple of clips...there's definitely something interesting and thoughtful about him. He has a kind of quiet sarcastic energy.

Could work. We'll see.

I'm thinking he pretty much has to be in BvS in some capacity.

Otherwise it'd be highly unusual for them to sign an actor for a movie three years away (JL). What did they audition him with?

There were reports months ago about Miller and another actor (can't remember) possibly being in BvS. We all speculated that it would be Nightwing.

Do Warner/Zack really have a problem with signing blonde actors?
Ezra is really good, but he's not Flash. I was so excited for this JL universe, but each casting announcement makes me less hyped :(

And he's too young to work with the likes of Henry and Ben, imo, but oh well. This team is starting to lack on epicness, well it actually started a long time ago
