It is being called as "a contemporary re-imagining"

I vomit blood every time I hear "contemporary re-imagining."

It's Hollywood *****ebag codeword for "our ideas are better because we say so so we'll do whatever we want with a franchise with a built in fan base."

This is by far the best one yet. This actually looks like the F4.

I understand where you are coming from.

I just see it differently.

Is it weird that they keep making it hard to see the Thing's feet? In that last promo, the title went in front of his feet, giving them a weird look. Now they've got some bright light right behind them, making the details difficult to make out.

Oh, and of course Reed is front and center with his butt-ugly costume. He looks like he's wearing 2 medical boots, like the kind you wear when you get a really bad ankle sprain.

I wanna hear the Thing talk...
Im starting to worry that he's a mute

I mean im 95% sure he's not.

But they still should show him talk

Fox Research: CGI Thing with no mouth movement is cheaper than CGI Thing with mouth movement.
Fox Decision: Thing is MUTE!

I'm sure he is to. We haven't seen any footage giving us any indication that he could talk. Plus, the guy who's playing him...........is his voice deep or raspy? If he has any kind of high pitched voice, that is going to be so awkward hearing him speak. Be kind of like Mike Tyson in his prime.

I believe in one of the cinema con interviews Jamie Bell said his Thing voice is his own, but slightly modulated.

Good news is that they couldn't say the same about our money. Haven't supported a Fox film since Apes pt2 with no plan on supporting on anytime soon.

That's because we didn't like what has been revealed from the beginning. Why are people still using this logic as if it'll change anything? Guilt???

Yeah well if Fox doesn't have any guilt about how things are going then why should those who don't support it?

LIES!

Pre-MCU and Disney aquisition Fox's Marvel films has a golden ticket to do just about whatever they wanted. Yet they still weren't doing Spiderman numbers. Why? because most of the Fox-marvel films from 2000 - 2009 sucked!

Fastforward to 2014 and Fox didn't seem to be struggling with DOFP's marketing so why resort to making excuses for Fox now?

Its funny how people flip things around to make it sound like people are simply giving Fox a raw deal. But if that's the role you wanna play then I guess Fox should've read the fine print as well. LOL!

A lot of films didn't do Spider-man numbers. Does that mean they sucked? I fail to see how all comic book films need to do a certain amount of money to be considered good.

Considering Fox-Marvels overall track record during the years I stated in the post you quoted, I don't see how you failing was an option.

All of the X-Men movies made enough to get a sequel, so they were all successful, and only 2 of them have been bad so far.

This Divergent movie sure is looking good. :whatever:

Still looks terrible. Did they seriously try to add a blue hue to the costumes? They still don't know final design on the "Thing" in some shots he looks like Kronan, others he kind of resembles Thing, some he looks like he has a beer gut, others he has a small waist, some he's about 7 feet tall, and others he looks like he's 10-12 feet tall. But in all of them he looks like dried up feces.

Gotta love the "hey lets look in different directions" pose, the orange and blue movie poster, the "terror is falling from the sky" and the obligatory U.S.A. flag this movie poster has.

If this movie flops, will Fox finally give it up?

They should show him doing ANYTHING other than the plane drop we've already seen half a dozen times.

Same goes for Teller, and Domashev.

The stars of the trailers/footage have been Jordan(no surprise there) and Mara.

We should PROBABLY see Thing do other things. And maybe an actual display of Domashev's powers? Perhaps? Something, you know, that might be considered exciting?

If what they have is at all exciting. Everything else hasn't been so far.

If this movie flops, will Fox finally give it up?

One would hope. But you never know. Only reason they gave up Daredevil, or allowed it to return, was because the director dropped out at the last minute. And then Marvel turned it into a fan and critically acclaimed Netflix tv show.

If this movie underperforms or severely underperforms there's really no telling what Fox will do. They might keep them for another seven years just because they can.

Oh I am really looking forward to seeing him punching someone he pinned on the ground.

So are they ever going to show Doom actually doing something in one of these trailers?

If FFINO performs as badly as it looks FOX will probably try to shake something loose from Marvel before focusing on its successful X-Men franchise. FOX needs Marvel's sign-off on the previously announced X-Men TV show, and my guess is the the First Family will be Marvel's price. Hopefully a deal is done before "Fant4stic 2: Ben's New Friends!" hits theaters.
