If FFINO performs as badly as it looks FOX will probably try to shake something loose from Marvel before focusing on its successful X-Men franchise. FOX needs Marvel's sign-off on the previously announced X-Men TV show, and my guess is the the First Family will be Marvel's price. Hopefully a deal is done before "Fant4stic 2: Ben's New Friends!" hits theaters.

At this point that's best case scenario. Marvel gets soooooo many awesome characters back, the ability to expand the MCU even further with some fantastic team-up possibilities in the future, and FOX gets to expand the X-Universe further with tie-in tv shows.

It's interesting seeing how differently they are presenting the film in the newer stuff compared to that Interstellar style first trailer. It was presenting the film as a science fiction film whereas the new stuff is very classic superhero film in its style. I wonder if that is due to a shift in how they are trying to advertise the film or a change in the film itself since the reshoots.

How they're advertising, as there's still a lot of the interstellar vibe in the second trailer which all the new TV spot aren't showing anything super new (outside of 2 or 3 seconds of stuff) they're recycling the old stuff just cut in a more action like way. I believe it's still a sci-fi movie first just this will trick those who want a more action movie. Also reshoots were only 3 or 4 days

All of the X-Men movies made enough to get a sequel, so they were all successful, and only 2 of them have been bad so far.

All of them turned a profit. I was talking about overall quality.

From 2000 to 2009 Fox-Marvel was 2 out of 8. Even Fox's people have admitted this. Dead issue.

Tricking the audience into what kind of film they are going to see is the sort of thing that can backfire spectacularly. It might get more people in during opening weekend but it can result in bad WOM as people complain about being tricked.

And the reshoots started in January and were still happening in April.

How much more action could they have gotten out of 3 or 4 days? Plus does it appear like they're fighting anyone in these trailers?

It looks like their either battling each other (sparing maybe) or saving each other over and over again.

According to Tim Blake Nelson the reshoots were still going on in May.
Actually late April (someone quoted him in may)

Which may have been apart of the original shoot, remember , they were on a sound stage MOST of the filming

Only shot that it looks like any of them is fighting anyone else is when Thing is rearing back to punch.

Looks like Domashev.

Incorrect.

He said reshoots were scheduled into the next week in late April, meaning they were still happening as of early May.

Except it never says that the interview happened that day just that it was posted that day. Or how long they were happening.

Don't listen to Kinberg's lies. That 3-4 days of reshoot thing was bull****. A substantial part of the film was redone, as evidenced by that awful wig on Mara that conflicts with the original footage.

Trank said reshoots happened over several months dur to actor available.and tim blake nelson interupts the bash trank arguement since he clearly said trank was directing the reshoots when he confired they were going on In april.

Again, proof? Remember her hair changing may be a part of the film

Which even then it's never stated how substantial these reshoot are and if he's squeezing in between other people's schedules hey may have only had them for a day or two.

Yeah, at a certain point Sue goes nuts, chops her hair own hair off like Brittany Spears, and has to wear a wig. :whatever:

Quit spamming threads. This movie is a substantial departure from even Ultimate, the film had massive reshoots, the budget went over twenty million dollars higher than intended, and the 3D was cancelled.

I've only read a bunch of hearsay no solid proof. Also replying to people is spamming ?

Old posters said the film was 3D. It isn't releasing in 3D.

Proof!

Multiple minor actors in the film talked about reshoots, and these incidents happened over more than four days.

Proof!

The final budget was reported post Louisiana tax breaks. Even after incentives, the film cost twenty-two million dollars more than the budget going into production.

Proof!

Since you're so eager to ignore anything that isn't completely irrefutable and blunt I'll just show you the direct quote.

It’s my understanding that Josh Trank’s “Fantastic Four” was conceived as being smaller in scale in relation to other blockbusters of this ilk. Are the reshoots you’re doing next week a course correction to make it a bigger and hence more marketable movie?

This interview was done on 04/24, the following week was, you guessed it, the first part of May. That means they were doing reshoots in May.

If it's a dead issue why did you say it in the first place? And are you actually wishing for this to be a bad movie? Wow.

I am going to make a prediction right now. FF will actually be one of the surprise hits of the summer. I am taking any and all bets. :o

What are you betting? Whether the critics like it or if it actually turns a brag able profit WW?
