The only film I've ever attended thinking it looked awful going in was Dragonball Evolution. I'm a far bigger fan of Dragon Ball than I am anything Marvel, and I understood damn well when the movie was announced (years before it released) that the franchise was going to be next to impossible to translate to live action (it started as a gag series, and Looney Tunes-esque gags don't work so well in a realistic medium, and when it went towards action more heavily it starts requiring a Cameron budget just to have a chance). DBE never had a chance. It's one thing to see a next to impossible thing like that for novelty factor. Fantastic Four, on the other hand, is exactly the sort of thing that well over a dozen other films have proven translatable. There's no reason this couldn't have been a Guardians of the Galaxy or Spider-Man caliber film. Why should I give my money to that? This whole idea that you should spend money on a film just to see if it's bad when you already think it looks bad is just bizarre.
